Kaien looked the most surprised that a man he had once known would even dare to lay a hand on his daughter. Let alone cause injuries like that.

Akemi held onto Zero's hand at the moment. She didn't know what to think about the situation.

Zero held her hand back as he wanted to hurt the man who had done this to her. Biological father or not. He was not going to let it slide.

"And you're sure that it was really him?" Kaname asked.

"I can never forget his face. The way that he fought. It was definitely him. The man who fights like he knows your every move. Kaito Yoshino." Akemi spoke before wincing when she shifted a bit.

"You okay?" Zero asked as he was immediately attentive of her being in pain and didn't want to risk her wound opening.

"I'm okay. It definitely hurts and still feels open."

"Your wounds are healing slower than before. It will take another day or two for it to close so take it easy." Kaien explained.

"Another day or two? I'm not going to wait. I'll try to speed up the healing process."

"You can do that?" Shiki asked.

"Never tried it before. It could happen."

"Even so. You must rest well." Kaname informed her.

"I can try." Akemi replied as she gave a small smile.

"We should keep a different look out. A man with a mask shouldn't be able to sneak into the school again." Zero commented.

"I agree." Akatsuki added.

Kaien's eyes glanced at them one by one. "I think that's a good idea. However you five are the only one's who know about what really happened that night and the one who seems at risk here is Akemi. He didn't attack anyone else but her."

"I can keep her safe." Kaname informed.

"Like hell you will." Zero hissed towards him.

"I can. You're a vampire who hates drinking blood. If you can't keep your strength-."

"I have enough strength to keep her safe!" Zero raised his voice. "She's definitely not going anywhere with you!"

"Enough." Akemi finally spoke up as she had been focusing on her wounds. Removing the gauze to see the wounds finally gone before throwing out the used gauze and pulling her shirt down. Glancing up to see them staring at her. "What? I'm awake and it was killing me. I'm not going to stay bleeding another second."

"You are definitely something else." Akatsuki spoke to her with a slight amused expression.

Akemi chuckled. "Definitely could be better but focusing on the task at hand. They know I'm at this school. Maybe I need to leave again and go somewhere else for a while."

"You're not leaving me again." Zero grumbled.

"Then you can come with me and I'd still have the protection. How does that sound?"

"You need more protection. I'm going." Kaname informed.

"No. Yuki will need someone here. Please watch over her."

Kaname knew that she was right about Yuki. He couldn't leave her alone but he also didn't want her to only have one protector. "I'll have Shiki and Akatsuki go with you both then." Kaname informed.

"I'll go." Akatsuki shrugged. He didn't want to go to class either way.

"I will go as well." Shiki responded as he glanced at her. "Just tell us when we will leave and where."
