-In Skip-
The fence didn't take long to put up, and since it was so late, the guards fell asleep almost immediately at their posts. Now was the time to sneak across while you still could, and that's what Dill did. He jumped the fence and ran into the Skip kingdom. He headed straight for the castle and never looked back. Maybe he would have gotten in too, if Spike wasn't so good at his job.
Spike dragged him into the throne room and threw him down in front of the queens. "I caught this man trying to break into the castle, your majesties." Spike informed them. The queens sat at their thrones and Frights was slumped over in hers. "What is your business here?" Shadow asked him. Dill wasted no time with introductions or explanations. He went straight for the goal. "Frights! They took him away!" he shouted. Frights looked over and her eyes widened as she realized who it was. "Dill?" She asked. "They took him, Frights! Dakota is in the dungeon! He's being put on a pillory in the morning!" Dill shouted. Frights stood up. "Let him go." she ordered. Spike backed down and Dill ran to her. "I have never liked you, Frights, but I don't have a choice anymore. I can't save him from this. Smot isn't safe for anyone anymore. I fear that if you can't save Dakota, that they'll kill him." Dill explained. Frights didn't know what to say. She just stared at him in shock and fear. "We will save him." Potion stood up. They looked at her as she walked to them. "We will do whatever it takes to save as many people as we can. Right now, you need to rest. It's late and it's been a long night." She said. "Perfect! Bring me to your dungeon!" Dill rolled his eyes. "Nonsense. You are a guest. Dill? Was it? Frights bring him to a spare room." Potion said. "Really?" Dill asked. "Yes. Go on." Potion smiled.
Firecracker brought Glitzy back to the Skip castle and Valor joined them not long after, though he was empty handed. "I couldn't find the prince, your majesties. I'm sorry." Valor said. "It's alright, Valor. We'll have you search again in the morning." Shadow dismissed him. "Princess Glitzy. I apologize for the hassle." Potion smiled politely. "I apologize for my father." Glitzy shrugged. "Tell them." Firecracker nudged her arm. "Tell us what?" Shadow asked. Glitzy sighed. "I'm not Tinsels daughter. Turns out my dad actually lives here! Tinsel broke them up to marry my mom after..." she stopped and looked at Potion. "Oh god-" Potion looked away in shock. "No! Please don't feel guilty. It was Tinsel's fault. Oh! And I think I know where my brother is!" Glitzy added. Firecracker looked over. "You do?" she asked. "He's safe, and I know he'll turn himself in tomorrow morning." Glitzy nodded. "Very well. Firecracker, please show our guest where she'll be staying tonight then." Shadow said. "Uh..." Fire had no idea what she was talking about. "Spare rooms dear." Potion reminded her. "Right! Come this way, princess." Firecracker led Glitzy away.
"You can stay here." Firecracker opened the door for Glitzy. "Thank you so much for this. I'm starting to actually like you spits." Glitzy laughed. "Hold your horses there, princess. You're talking to a full fledged lesbian. You don't like me as much as you think you do." Firecracker huffed. Glitzy raised an eyebrow. "Actually, that's even better." She smirked. Firecracker rolled her eyes. "I have to get this armor off. Goodnight princess." She bowed, and walked away.
-Across Town-
Alpine never left Nachos house. He had hid from the rushing crowd of cops and kids. Then he made his way back inside and passed out on the couch. Nacho noticed, but left him there. Even when he saw Valor outside, knowing that he was searching for Alpine, he didn't say anything. When morning came, he made him coffee and sat with him while he waited for Alpine to wake up. The strong smell of hazelnut woke Alpine, and when he realized where he was, he jolted upright. "Woah!" he shouted in shock. Nacho calmly handed him the cup. "Sleep well?" he asked. "Oh god I'm so screwed." Alpine groaned and took the mug. They sat in silence and just drank their coffee for a moment. "The queens sent out the guards to search for you. They found your sister. Your father put up a barrier between our kingdoms until you're returned safely." Nacho filled him in. Alpine sighed heavily. "Why didn't you turn me in?" He asked. Nacho smiled. "Friends don't do that." He chuckled. Alpine smiled. "Thanks, and uh... now that I'm sober and in pain, I still think you're hot." He smirked. Nacho laughed a little. "Then it's a date, just like I promised. But first I need to bring you in. This is getting serious." Nacho said. Alpine nodded in agreement.
Nacho called Valor and had him come get Alpine. Then Valor brought him back to the castle, where everyone gathered in the throne room to speak. "We need to bring you back to your father before he declares a war." Shadow started. "He won't. He doesn't have the material." Alpine huffed. "Please don't send me home." Glitzy mumbled. "You don't want to go home?" Frights asked. "No! Father is going mad! And I just found my real family. If I go back now, I'm afraid I'll never get out." Glitzy exclaimed. "Yeah I don't want to go either." Alpine agreed. "We can't keep them here, can we?" Shadow looked at her wife. Potion thought for a moment and then smiled. "Of course we can. Everyone in welcome in our kingdom, regardless of where their from. You may stay here, and we will protect you as long as you do." Potion told them. "We will?" Firecracker asked confused. "Yes. You will." Shadow spat. Firecracker frowned and Valor laughed. "Look who opened her big mouth!" He laughed. "You too Valor." Shadow added. "What?!" He snapped. Firecracker snickered.
"That's great. What about Dakota?" Dill butted in. "Frights. You and Dill need to come up with a plan to save him." Shadow said. "Just the two of us?" Frights asked, confused. "Yes. You both love him in some way, and I take it that both of you need to make amends with him." Shadow glared at Dill. He looked away. "Ok fine! I'm sorry alright." Dill said. He looked back up at them. "You're not the kingdom I thought you were... I'm sorry." He apologized. "It's alright, Dill. All of you can continue to stay here in the castle until we figure something out. Please make yourselves at home." Potion said. "Hold on. I have a question." Alpine said. Potion looked at him. "Yes?" She asked. "I know what my father has told me, but what actually happened? All those years ago?" Alpine asked. Potions eyes widened. "It's none of your concern." Shadow stepped up. "No." Potion shook her head and Shadow looked at her. "I might as well let them know." She said. "Are you sure?" Shadow asked. Potion nodded, and began the story.
