-At the Skip Castle-
Frights turned off her tv after watching the midnight news. She was curled up on her bed, hugging a pillow. She put her head down in it and screamed in frustration. There was a light knock at her door and she didn't even budge. Potion creaked open the door and stepped into the room. She closed the door behind her and sat down beside Frights. She didn't say anything. She just waited. "I'm sorry mom. I should have listened to you." Frights cried into the pillow. "No you shouldn't've. You did everything right Frights." Potion said. Frights looked up at her stunned. "I lied to him! How is that ok?" she asked. "Well, I'm not saying it's ok, but... I may have done the same thing to your mother." Potion said. Frights eyebrows shot up in shock. Potion shrugged. "I get it. Most people wont see the real you when you're royalty. It's easier to lie. It just makes for a very awkward conversation at some point." She said. "How can I possibly face him again? I'm only gonna put him in more danger. He's from Smot!" Frights exclaimed. "Have you tried talking to him?" Potion asked. "He won't answer his phone." Frights shook her head. "His phone? Frights if you love him, then go see him! It's worth it. I promise." Potion said. "I'll be arrested if I'm caught! Everyone's on high alert now." Frights said. "When has that ever stopped you before?" Potion smiled. Frights wiped her tears. "Go on Frights. Go see him. We'll be here whenever you get home." Potion urged her. Frights sniffled and nodded. "Ok. Thanks mom." Frights said.
-In Smot-
Frights dressed up in all black, looking like a robber without a mask, and snuck across the border into Smot. Then she went to Dakotas apartment. Dakota was on the couch, watching tv. Dill had already gone to bed. Dakota had some serious eye bags from staying up, and he was eating a family sized bag of chips. Frights knocked on his door and he groaned when he got up to get it. "Who the hell-?" He stopped as he opened the door. Frights smiled nervously. "Hi." She said. "What are you doing here? You're going to get yourself in trouble. And me!" He snapped. "Will you please just let me explain?" Frights asked. "Oh of course! Anything you wish, your majesty! I'm at your command." Dakota said sarcastically. "Look, I'm sorry I didn't tell you! I was just afraid of what you'd think. I was scared you wouldn't like me if you knew who I was. Dakota, I'm the same person I was yesterday! I love you!" Frights exclaimed. "Sorry princess, but I'm no ones charity case. Go find the prince you deserve." Dakota shut the door on her. He leaned his head against the door and sighed heavily. It hurt him to do it, but he still needed time to think.
Not ten minutes later was there another knock on Dakotas door. "I told you to-" he stopped seeing the royal guard. "Hello sir. My name is Icicles and this is Jingle. We've been sent by the king to collect Dakota Ramirez for treason." He said. "Yo! Go to bed already! It's like two in the- oh!" Dill was stunned. He walked up behind Dakota. "Dill... excuse me from school." Dakota said. "What's going on?" Dill asked confused. "I'm Dakota Ramirez." He held out his hands for the guards to cuff him. "Woah! Hey! You're not taking him anywhere!" Dill yelled. "He's guilty of treason. Until his fate is decided, he'll be in the dungeon, and sent to the pillory during the day." Icicles explained. "Dakota-" Dill said. "I'll be fine Dill." Dakota stepped away with the guards.
-Back in Skip-
Frights came home and retreated to her room again. "Are you alright?" Firecracker was waiting for her. "Go to bed, Fire." Frights groaned. "I'm sorry Frights. I wasn't trying to out you." Fire said. "I know. I forgive you. Just please leave. I don't wanna talk right now." Frights said. Firecracker nodded and walked away. "Just call if you need something." she said.
Potion and Shadow were waiting in Frights' room. Seeing her moms, she teared up immediately and walked over to hug them. They held her close and patted her back. "It's gonna be alright. We promise." Shadow whispered. "He doesn't even want to try to talk! It's hopeless." Frights cried. "It's not hopeless. He just needs time. You have to give him that." Shadow replied. There was a knock at Frights' door. "What do you want Valor!?" Frights snapped. "You recognize their knocks?" Shadow asked, confused. Valor came in looking sad. "I'm sorry to bother you, your majesties, but I have urgent news that you may want to hear." He said. "What is it?" Potion asked. "Prince Alpine and Princess Glitzy have not returned home. They're still here, somewhere, and until they are returned safely, King Tinsel is putting up a barrier between our kingdoms. No one comes in, no one leaves." Valor explained. "He can't do that!" Potion exclaimed. "But he has. He also shut down all public facilities until his children are returned to him. So school is cancelled, and we have Smot royalty running around here in our kingdom." Valor said. "Ok... ok Valor, go get your sister. You two need to find the Prince and Princess. I'll have Spike guard the castle while you're gone." Shadow ordered. "Yes ma'am. Would you like us to bring them back here if we find them?" He asked. "Yes. Thank you." Shadow nodded. Valor gave a quick nod and left.
Since this was official guard duty, Firecracker and Valor put on their armor and mounted their horses to go search for the missing royals. They split up, searching different areas of the kingdom. Anyone that saw their horses would gasp in fear and run into their homes. Everyone knew something was wrong when the guards rode horses. Firecracker rode past the new barrier being put up and stopped to look at it. Since it had to be put up so soon, it wasn't anything strong. It was a simple chain link fence, but that wasn't the point. King Tinsel had sent a message, that he wasn't messing around about this. That's what mattered. Firecracker started to ride away but stopped suddenly when she saw three masked figures trying to hop the fence. Whoever it was, was really bad at jumping fences. They kept trying to lift the one person up, only to stab them with the top of the fence and then back down. "You have to jump, ya know?" Firecracker huffed. The person shrieked and fell down. The other two gasped in horror. "Who are you!?" Firecracker yelled, pulling out her sword. "Wait! We can explain!" Tuffy dropped his hood. "The hell-?" she asked. Presents dropped his hood and Glitzy followed after him. "It's you!" Firecracker exclaimed. "I'm sorry?" Glitzy asked. Firecracker put her sword away and took off her helmet. "Firecracker!" The three of them shouted. "You're lucky it's me and I know your situation. You could have gotten in serious trouble!" She shouted back. Firecracker slid off the horse. "You have to come with me, Glitzy. The queens have requested that we find you and your brother and bring you back to the castle." Fire said. "Is she in trouble?" Presents asked. "No. We just want to make sure they get home safely." Fire replied. "You're really not going to punish them?" Presents was hesitant. "Dad stop!" Glitzy stepped in front of him. "I trust her." Glitzy assured him. Then she turned to Firecracker. "Lets go." She left with her.
