Chapter Twenty Two:

The next few days passed, and (Y/N) noticed a slight but significant change in Giyu, which made her feel alarmed.

She worried that he might be sick or had caught something contagious, as Giyu was slowly acting less and less cold to people and more approachable.

(Y/N) saw Giyu talking to the scouts outside, chattering as if they were good friends.

Whenever they didn't have any physical therapy sessions, (Y/N) often found Giyu outside, thriving and interacting with her children, Hinoko and Kijuro.

One afternoon, as (Y/N) was about to leave the Butterfly Mansion, a scout came up to her with a bouquet of flowers that signified beauty and love.

The scout called to her as she was walking, and (Y/N) stopped in her tracks once she heard her name being called out.

"Miss (Y/N)," the scout said, slightly out of breath as he approached her.

She turned to face him, curious. "Yes?"

The scout handed her the bouquet, a mix of vibrant blooms that radiated warmth and affection. "These are for you," he said simply.

Surprised, (Y/N) asked, "Who are they from?"

The scout smiled but offered no further details. "It was a gift," he said, then quickly excused himself and ran off before she could ask any more questions.

(Y/N) stood there, holding the bouquet, her heart racing. She glanced around, half-expecting to see Giyu watching from a distance, but there was no sign of him.

She looked down at the flowers, a soft smile tugging at her lips despite her confusion. The gesture was unexpected but deeply touching.

Once the scout was gone, Aoi walked by and teasingly said, "I might have an idea who gave you that bouquet."

(Y/N) quickly blushed at her statement and whispered, "Don't raise your voice, or Shinobu might hear."

Unexpectedly, a voice chimed in, "Oh my, what a beautiful bouquet!"

(Y/N) turned, worried it might be Shinobu, but instead, she saw the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, standing there with a bright smile.

Mitsuri's eyes sparkled as she admired the flowers. "Whoever gave these to you has great taste."

Blushing even more, (Y/N) stammered, "Thank you, Mitsuri. They're lovely, aren't they?"
