Chapter Twenty Five:

The evening eventually came, and Giyu was just as enthusiastic as he had been that morning.

He meticulously fixed up his haori, smoothing out any wrinkles, then fussed about his hair in front of the mirror.

His usually stoic expression was replaced by one of nervous excitement as he talked to himself.

"Everything will be fine," he muttered, taking a deep breath. "You and (Y/N) will have a great time."

Satisfied with his appearance, he turned to his Kasugai crow, who was perched on the windowsill, observing him with a curious tilt of its head.

"Deliver this message to (Y/N)," he instructed the crow. "Tell her to meet me at the village."

The crow cawed in acknowledgment and took off into the evening sky, the sound of its wings fading into the distance. Giyu took one last look in the mirror, giving himself an encouraging nod.

With one final deep breath, he stepped out of his estate and began walking toward their meetup place.

As he walked through the serene landscape, the twilight casting a soft glow over everything, Giyu's thoughts were filled with (Y/N). He was determined to make this evening special, to show her how much she meant to him.

The anticipation of seeing her again fueled his steps, making him walk a little faster, his heart beating a little harder.

Reaching the village, he found a quiet spot near the river, where lanterns hung from trees, casting a warm, inviting light. He checked his surroundings, making sure everything was perfect.

Then, with a contented sigh, he waited for (Y/N), feeling more alive and hopeful than he had in a long time.

Giyu didn't have to wait long. He scanned the area and immediately spotted (Y/N). When their eyes met, it felt as if the world had stopped just for them.

He could already feel the blush creeping up his face as he gave (Y/N) a once-over look.

"(Y/N)," he greeted, a rare smile lighting up his face.

(Y/N) smiled back and said, "You look great with a smile on your face, Giyu."

He hadn't even noticed that he was actually smiling, which made him blush even more. He faked a cough to hide his embarrassment, then stretched his arm out for (Y/N) to hold.

"You look as beautiful as the night sky," he said, nodding at her.

(Y/N) blushed and shook her head, muttering under her breath, "Cheesy Giyu feels new and strange."

Giyu chuckled softly, the sound surprising both of them. "I suppose I am a bit different tonight," he admitted, his tone softening. "But it's because of you."
