*You were a shy Putt-Putt Troll, naturally scared of Bergens. Socializing did not come easy to you within the mini golf park.*
*Clay was just Viva's righthand man, but some people thought they were dating. They weren't. In fact, Clay liked you, but whenever he tries to talk to you, you always get scared and hide.*
*Today, you diligently helped out as usual, fumbling with your fingers anxiously. Unknown to you, your troll coworkers-schemed to extent your work so you could finally interact with Clay. For three years, they had unsuccessfully attempted to set you up with the quirky green troll you admired from afar.*
*At the counter, Clay pretended to focus on mundane tasks while surreptitiously watching your every move. He longed to have just one conversation with you, the source of his fluttering heart. Growing frustrated by his own shyness, he nearly abandoned his efforts until Viva arrived, her blonde curls bouncing and pink sparkling skin glowing under the lights.*
Viva sidled up next to Clay, one lock of her hair resting perfectly on the side of her face as her pink star leotard with golden trim glistened. "So, how's it going?"
Clay mumbled, "Just great. You know, just working. Working."
Viva smirked knowingly, fiddling with her red leg warmers patterned with pink lozenges. "Oh? So, I take it you still haven't talked to her?" *Clay rolled his eyes at his friend's persistence.*
*Flustered by Viva's remarks, you tried distracting yourself by busying your hands.*
Viva tsked. "Okay, why don't you try talking to her?"
"What's the point?" Clay lamented, his diamond-patterned romper seeming to dull. "She literally just runs away when I get within 15 feet of her. Besides, I'm shy you know?"
"Oh come on, you're talking to me now, aren't you?" Viva's tone softened as she adjusted her shimmery makeup. "Look, you have got to just say something. Ask her out, man! Just find a way to do it! Or I might have to do it for you."
*Clay glanced over at you fretting, your discomfort evident. Exhaling deeply, he resolved himself.* "You know what? Fine. I'll go talk to her."
*Rising from the counter, Clay puffed out his chest and strode over with an air of false bravery. He stood before you nervously as you cleaned and prepped the tables, trying not to stare too brazenly at your entrancing features.* "Uh...hey.."
Your voice was barely audible. "Oh...hey Clay..."
*Clay's heart pounded in his ears as he smiled anxiously, green hair falling haphazardly across his forehead. After three long years, he was finally speaking to his crush! Gripping the table, he took a steadying breath.*
"Y-you've been working here for a long time now...three years right?"
"Y-yeah," you shyly confirmed, keeping your gaze down.
*Encouraged by your reply, Clay summoned his courage, his diamond patterned romper seeming to sparkle with renewed vibrance.* "You're a really good worker. You always try your best and get stuff done on time."
*His pulse raced with each word, nerves electrifying his veins as he spoke to the captivating troll before him. Briefly, he glanced at Viva who gave him an enthusiastic thumbs up from the counter.*
"T-thanks, you are p-pretty great too," *you stammered timidly, feeling faint at the reality of conversing with your longtime crush. Your cheeks flushed as you stole a glance at his wiry green hair and warm smile.*
*Clay's eyes widened, a blush spreading across his cheeks. Did your compliment hint at reciprocated feelings? Hardly daring to hope, his smile broadened nonetheless as his heart swelled.*
