TW:mentions of self hate, mentions of depresssion, mentions of social anxiety, a little brighter than usual
(My cherished readers, know this truth profound, A friend's embrace, though distant, knows no bound. Be it across vast seas or close at hand, Love's tender touch spans oceans of sand. In the heart's expanse, distance does not impair, For friendship's flame burns bright, beyond compare. Though miles may separate, and time may weave, In the tapestry of love, we all believe.)
In the silent space between our screens,
A friendship blossoms, tender, unseen.
Two souls entwined in digital embrace,
Navigating life's tumultuous race.
Distance may stretch, but not our bond,
In cyberspace, our hearts respond.
You, a beacon in my darkest night,
Guiding me through shadows with your light.
Yet, here I stand, burdened with weight,
My soul heavy with secrets, sealed by fate.
I long to share, to unburden my chest,
But fear grips tight, denying me rest.
Chronic echoes of depression's call,
A silent struggle, unseen by all.
Social anxieties, a tangled vine,
Ensnaring me in a prison divine.
Each message you send, a lifeline thrown,
But I falter, lost in the unknown.
Unable to articulate the pain within,
I retreat, drowning in the deafening din.
You, my dearest friend, so pure and kind,
In your eyes, solace I find.
Yet, I feel unworthy, a failure in disguise,
As I falter beneath guilt's heavy guise.
You assure me of my worth, my place,
But I can't shake the shadows that embrace.
I am the worst friend, though you disagree,
For I cannot be the friend you need me to be.
In moments like these, where words fail,
Know my love for you will prevail.
Though I stumble, though I fall,
You remain my anchor through it all.
Forgive me, dear friend, for the silence I keep,
For in my heart, your love runs deep.
One day, I'll find the courage to confide,
Until then, by your side, I'll abide.
