TW: Alcoholism, Desperation and Suicide, Mental Health Struggles, Reckless Behavior
(Dearest reader, Should the sweetness of alcohol's embrace Find passage past your lips, Let not one glass beckon another, For it shall harm you and those around, Reducing them to plead with you, Begging you against folly in drunkenness, When awareness fades like mist. Enjoy the drink, yes, But tread carefully, dear reader.)
Beneath the night, the stars shine bright,
A shimmering dance in velvet night.
In shadows dark, where secrets hide,
An aching heart seeks solace wide.
The bottle's whisper, a siren call,
Promises to break the fall.
With every sip, the world turns gray,
Hopes and dreams begin to fray.
The open road, a tempting flight,
Into the depths of endless night.
Wheels on pavement, a reckless glide,
A silent wish to end the ride.
In the quiet, thoughts collide,
A desperate plea, no more to hide.
The stars above, they watch, they see,
The longing heart's sad decree.
Yet in the dark, a spark of light,
A glimmer small, but burning bright.
Perhaps a hope, a chance to steer,
Away from paths that end in fear.
Oh, wandering soul, beneath the sky,
Seek not the crash, nor the cry.
For in the dawn, new dreams may rise,
With stars to guide and clear blue skies.
