Prologue
ABIGAIL'S POV
The stadium erupted in cheers. While I just groaned. Why oh why did my parents make me come? Did they hate me that much? My name is Abigail Lopez. I have long black hair and green eyes. I am 4'9. I know shorty huh? I am 16 years old and go to West-field High School in Indiana. Anyways back to the present, right now I am watching my older brother the "KING" of the school play football. Unlike me he takes after my dad and has light brown hair and dark brown eyes. He is very tall! I mean ginormous. He's 6'6. Well as usual they win! Ahh exciting! Not. I hate football games. I hate having to watch these games just because I'm his sister. Curse my parents. I walk over to my brother and some blonde chick pushes me out of the way. She wraps her arms around his neck and starts kissing him. I wrinkle my nose. Eww. I walk over to them and tap her shoulder.
"Mm excuse me let's keep it G. Shall we? Oh and if you're trying to make an impression sweety, you've failed," I said to the fake blonde.
She rolled her eyes,"Excuse me who are you?"
"I'm his sister," I said crossing my arms over my chest. Her face turned redder than a tomato. She excused herself and walked away.
"Abigail! You always do that," my brother,Chase, said trying to hold back his laughter.
"These girls gross me out. I mean a little self respect would be nice," I said flipping my black hair over my shoulder.
"Dude, this is why I love your sister, " a masculine voice said. I turned around surprised and found myself face to face with the school's prince. Beau Ryder. That's right my brother's bestfriend. His electric blue eyes stared into mine. I felt myself go weak at the knees. Curse him and his sexiness.
"Back off Ryder," my brother said teasingly.
He held up his hands in surrender,"I'm just saying she's pretty cool. Looks like the girls are gonna have to go through her inspections from now on."
My brother groaned,"I know ! She hardly approves of anyone."
I huffed and slapped his chest,"Watch it big boy or you won't be dating anyone for a while. If it weren't for me you'd have chicks hanging all over you!"
"Who said that'd be a bad thing?" He muttered.
"What Chase? I didn't hear you. Speak a little louder will you?"
"I said let's go get some ice cream!" He shouted happily.
I giggled,"That's what I thought."
"Dude she's got you trained," Beau said laughing.
Agh this boy and his laugh. He looked at me and flashed me his killer smile. He was gonna be the death of me.
"Shut up Ryder. Watch if you had a little sister you'd be a goner."
"I don't believe so. I'm my own boss!"
"Say that to your mother."
His smile disappeared,"Okay I admit. My mom has some control over me."
"Really? Should I call her and tell her you said that?"
"Um noo. It's cool."
I giggled,"Come on guys I want ice cream!"
They both groaned but we all left to my brother's Range Rover. I hopped in the driver's seat and pouted at my brother.
"Bubba can I pwease drive?" I said giving him my best puppy dog eyes.
"Abigail no. This is my baby."
"Pwease?"
"Fine, " he grumbled. I squealed.
I turned on the car and drove to the ice cream parlor, but not without some accidents. I almost hit a tree, a light pole and I almost ran over a squirrel. I am a horrible driver. I parked outside and both Beau and Chase looked ready to hug the ground. I smirked.
"You almost killed us Abigail!" My brother said.
"Please don't ever let her drive ever again," Beau said clutching his stomach.
"Suck it up. I thought you guys were men! Now come on I want ice cream."
We walked inside and I ordered a chocolate chip vanilla ice cream. My favorite. I sat down and happily ate my ice cream. Both of the boys were on either side of me eating their own ice cream. I felt Beau get closer to me and my breath hitched.
"I am a man sweety," he whispered in my ear.
I giggled,"Says the "MAN" who looked like he was about to pass out."
"You drive like a maniac!"
I giggled and finished my ice cream. We all finished and went back to the car. To my dismay, Chase was driving. We pulled into our driveway and we all got out since Beau was staying over. I walked inside our house and was surprised when a black wind ran toward me and knocked me down.
"Sunshine! Get off of me," I told our one year old German Shepard. She licked my face and I couldn't help but smile. She was my baby girl. My mom gave her to me as a Valentine's gift. I was still on the ground when Chase and Beau walked in. I looked up at me brother.
"Some help Chase?"
"Sure sis," he said pulling Sunshine off of me, while Beau helped me get up. I swear sparks flew when he touched me. Stupid hormones.
"Thanks Beau and Chase! I'm going to bed goodnight!" I said and went upstairs to my bedroom. I leaned against the door, trying to gain my breath. I sighed and walked over to my dresser and pulled out shorts and a t shirt so I could sleep in. I jumped on my bed and thought of Beau. His gorgeous blue eyes and his dark brown hair were to die for. I've had a crush on him since he walked through our school doors last year in the middle of February. I sighed, he had never looked at me that way. You know "that way" the "love way". Nope he was my secret love. I curled into the sheets and fell into a deep sleep. Only one thing was on my mind or should I say someone. That's right.
Beau Ryder.
