Chapter 2
ABIGAIL'S POV
I trudged tiredly behind Willa. Oh, that girl and her stupid energy. We went into our sixth store and looked for dresses. Homecoming was two weeks away. I groaned in frustration.
"Willa! I'm never gonna find a dress," I whined.
"Shut up. I'm trying to help you!"
Of course Ms.Fashion had already found a dress. It was purple and went with her porcelain skin. I sighed. Stupid tradition. I hardly ever wore dresses. I saw Willa come to me with the biggest smile of her life. Oh no.
"Abby I found something!"
"Lemme see!"
She giggled and pulled the dress she was hiding. I stared at it in awe. It was a white, blue, and purple dress with a purple belt around the waist and a gems in a form of a flower on the right side. I squealed and took it from her and ran to the fitting room. I took off my clothes in a hurry and tried on the dress. I gasped as I saw my reflection. It was gorgeous! It was a little above mid thigh, but I didn't mind.
"Abigail! Can I see? Please, you're killing me!"
I walked out and her eyes widened and her hand went to her mouth.
"Oh my goodness. You look absolutely stunning. You have to take this dress. If you don't I will kill you in your sleep," she said staring at me in awe.
I giggled, "I'm taking it!"
"Yes! Now go change so we can leave. I'm starved. "
I skipped back to the fitting room and changed back in my clothes. Then we went to pay the dress. We stopped by pizza hut and ate there before we went home. I walked inside carrying my dress and crashed into a wall. Well what I thought was a wall. Instead it was Beau staring at me with those gorgeous blue orbs. He smiled down at me and I smiled back.
"Where have you been Abby?" I heard my mom ask.
I groaned,"I went to the mall with Willa."
"Why?"
"Dress shopping."
"Did you find one?"
"Yes."
She squealed. Yes my mother squealed.
"Lemme see it!"
I giggled and opened the bag my dress was in and pulled it out. I heard her gasp.
"It's beautiful sweetheart. MASON!!!!" Mason was my father. I guess my mother sounded panicked because my dad came running in with a pan in his hand. I giggled as he stared around widely looking for a threat.
"Lily you almost gave me a heart attack. I thought you were getting kidnapped, " he scolded.
"Oh yeah and a pan would surely protect us from a kidnapper. Now come here and look at our daughter's homecoming dress."
He grumbled but followed my mom's orders. His eyes widened.
"It's beautiful baby girl," he said.
"Thanks daddy," I said with a smile.
"Now who's taking you? Is it Mr.Ryder?"
I had forgotten he was in the room. I sighed inwardly.
"No daddy its Shane Walters."
"Hmm I hear he's a good boy. Who are you taking Beau?"
"Venus Wesley, sir," he answered.
"Oh mm cheer-leading captain right? Brunette and hazel eyes?"
