I sighed as I tinkered with the pile of scrap metal and devices that I found in the basement. For the past few weeks I've been having a repeating dream/nightmare. A huge army of identical guys and a girl fighting some octopus faced jerk and evil versions of themselves. While remembering the dream I stop as I hold one of the scrap devices I found in the basement of UA. It was one of the watches the duplicates were wearing.
As I looked at the other items I realized they were all different versions of the same device or very similar devices. With that figured out I grabbed them all and headed to Nezu. After knocking and waiting for him to say enter I got impatient and barged in. "Nezu, I'm sorry for intruding but where did you get these?"
He glared at me as he ended his call. "I was given them by a guy who used to work for the Hero Board. He apparently used his quirk to copy them but never was able to get them to work. Why do you want to know?" I smirked, "If they are what I think they are they are genetic splicers that can turn people into aliens. I'll try to get them working or create my own. They might have an external device needed for them to work."
With Nezu a bit stunned I ran back to my hanger to start working on them. I may be a first year in the support classes but I do stuff well beyond some third years. I won the sports festival with just a special skin tight suit to make me immune to fire, explosions, acid, and such, a pair of shoes with spring loaded soles, and numchucks with extending chain. I stayed in the support class, though I could have been swapped to the hero class, and I'm definitely glad I did.
As I tinkered with the watches I realized why they didn't work at all. They did have an external part which stored Alien DNA profiles. I did get a bit upset about it until I saw they had two alien DNAs built into the core design. Using what I figured out was an emergency feature I activated one of the DNAs known as a Galvin by the watches code.
My body shrank down until I was a 3 inch tall grey creature. With my body shrank my already shocking intelligence got a bigger boost. Using what I now knew I began to build an army of drones the size of a mosquito. Using the stuff I had I somehow made a few thousand of them before I returned to my human body. I was about to be annoyed but for some reason my knowledge and intelligence didn't change after I shifted back. With a shrug I sent the drones out and began to work on a couple special devices.
First thing I did was work on a small pocket dimension with multiple planets with different terrain and atmospheric conditions. Once I finished setting it up I put it to the side and worked on what I'll call the Deku Garden. It'll save all the alien DNA samples I get in special crystals which I'll shape to match their species shape. For those wondering why I called it Deku Garden it's a jab at Bakugo. Gonna shove my fame in his face with Deku Support Inc.
Anyways while I worked on making a special pocket dimension for the Deku Garden a few of my drones came back with multiple samples. After checking them over I couldn't help but chuckle as I got people's DNA. It didn't go for any quirkless but those with quirks. I stored them in a separate zone of the garden just in case they could be used.
For the next couple months I created crystals for over 10,000 alien species and billions of people with quirks. I checked and quirks aren't related to aliens but they are a genetic mutation and there's two factors to them. The quirk factor itself which will grow over time with use and can be seen as fuel for a quirk and the quirk casing which is used with the person's DNA to create the quirks effects. With a bit of jerry rigging I figured out how to temporarily give myself a quirk using these odd watches.
