Mason and I finally arrived on campus, his grip on my hand tight and reassuring. I knew he was stressed, but I was grateful for his strength and support. As we walked to our first class, I spotted my cousins, Max and Xander, and rushed over to exchange warm hugs. Leon, already dressed in his rugby gear, smiled and hugged me too, earning a playful eye-roll from Mason.
The morning flew by in a flurry of research and presentations. Our class was buzzing with activity, and I was grateful for the distraction from the previous day's events. Lunchtime brought more laughter and camaraderie, and we all enjoyed each other's company.
As the guys began their afternoon training session, we cheered them on from the sidelines. I excused myself to use the restroom, feeling carefree and relaxed. But as I made my way back, a sudden impact from behind left me reeling, and everything went black.
