As I watched Mason break down, his vulnerability struck a chord in me. My rock, my strength, was hurting and insecure. I saw the pain in his eyes, and my heart ached. I knew how much I loved him, and this was his first mistake.

As he knelt down, apologizing profusely, I couldn't take it anymore. I went to him, embracing him tightly, and we both cried together. Our tears mingled, our hearts heavy with regret and forgiveness.

"I love you so much, Mason," I whispered. "I'm willing to forgive you, but I can't say I trust you fully... yet. You need to prove yourself to me, and I'll give you time."

He nodded, understanding in his eyes, and hugged me tighter. "I'm so sorry, Letricia. I know I hurt you, and I'll do anything to regain your trust."

I kissed him, our lips salty with tears. "What hurts the most is that it was Lisa... my twin sister. That will take time to forget. You know my history with her, and I know you said you were drunk, but... just give me time."

He nodded again, holding me close, his apologies still echoing in my ears. We held each other, our hearts slowly mending, our love stronger than our pain.
