I breathed a sigh of relief as the doctor gave us the good news - Letricia didn't have any serious or internal injuries. Her friends arrived, and we all waited anxiously for her to wake up.

When she finally opened her eyes, she smiled weakly at her friends, but I knew it was a brave face. She was still in pain and hurting deeply. I stood up, giving them some space, and walked out into the hallway.

That's when I saw Mason approaching. I knew I had to intercept him. "Mason, now's not the right time," I said firmly. "If you go in there, she'll only get more upset. Look at her condition - she almost died because of your actions."

Mason looked crestfallen, but I didn't care. Letricia's well-being was all that mattered. "Just give her some time, Mason. She needs space and support from people who actually care about her."

He nodded reluctantly and turned away, knowing I was right. I watched him leave, feeling a sense of pride in protecting Letricia from further harm. She deserved so much better than him.
