Leon's eyes widened as he entered his new class, scanning the room for familiar faces. And then, he saw her - Larisa, his former best friend, who he thought had died in the fire eight years ago. She was sitting with her friends, laughing and chatting, oblivious to his presence.
Leon's mind raced as he tried to process the situation. He stood frozen, alongside Max and Xander, as they introduced themselves to the class. But Larisa didn't even flinch, didn't even acknowledge their presence. It was as if she had no idea who they were.
As they took their seats five rows away from Larisa and her friends, Leon couldn't help but steal glances at her. He was confused, unsure of how to approach the situation. Why was she ignoring him? Did she not recognize him?
The lecturer began to speak, but Leon's attention was elsewhere. He was fixated on Larisa's back, wondering what she was thinking, why she was pretending not to know him.
