Chapter 17: A Deal

I just wanted to say that my HTTYD Oneshot book is now available to read on wattpad. It has any ideas that I have and the first 3 chapters is one story about a Villain Hiccup AU I have. Requests are open basically all the time!

Heather's POV

It's been about 2 weeks since the others came and Hiccup has gotten a lot better. He can actually walk now, to many peoples dismay. I'm gonna say it, Hiccup is practically indestructible. Even with all of the man's wounds, he still manages to be strong. He got out of Gothi's hut about 3 days ago and ever since, we have been staying in the cove.

Hiccup says the only time his wounds hurt is when anyone puts pressure on them. He asked people (politely. This is Hiccup. Polite, yet deadly.) who were putting pressure onto his wounds to move back. Of course, that policy didn't apply to Astrid. If Astrid came barreling at him with a hug or kiss, Hiccup would smile and receive it.

He never once asked her to move away.

Hiccup recovery has not been the only thing that has been going on in the past 2 weeks. Heather, Eret, Hiccup and Astrid have been working on creating a fool proof plan for a huge fool.

Aka, Snotlout.

I mean, we have been going all out. Multiple ideas have been scratched out, revised, argued upon, and much more. We had decided on a plan that seemed perfect. Here's how it would work, step one would be to give him a fake invite from Tuffnut to ask Snotlout to meet him at a river on the far side of the island.

After Snotlout sees that Tuffnut isn't coming, he'll turn and walk home. As he is walking home, he'll tell tuffnut. Tuffnut will say it wasn't him, we shall laugh around snotlout as he arrives, and snotlout and tuff will hopefully trace it back to us. Then, he'll call for a duel. (Why? I don't know this is snotlout and he is completely predictable.) Eret then beats Snotlout in the duel.

It was honestly quite simple.

Ok, not that simple.

But honestly, why prank him? 1, this is snotlout. He has been flirting with Heather nonstop and it is driving Eret crazy, to the brink of Insanity. 2, if snotlout does try and blame us, he has no proof. Therefore, if he has no proof, this can't be traced back to us.

Hiccup and Astrid were convinced that this was going to work. Our plan evolved solely around the fact that Snotlout had little brain, and what he thought was brawn. Because he thought he had brawn, he would pick a duel of some sort instead of a tactical revenge.

Hiccup, Astrid, Eret and Heather were no pranking geniuses, but Hiccup and Astrid knew our fool the best. Hiccup also had experience from making a ton, if not all, of the twins' mechanical parts for pranks on the people here from the time he had lived here on Berk, so he knew a fairly good amount about this stuff.

We had just left the note to Snotlout that asked him to be at the river on his step. So step 1 was complete. Snotlout had taken about half an hour to walk to the far side of the island, and was now waiting there.

It's been another half hour since snotlout had been here, and he had started talking to himself, clearly getting impatient and bored.

Ten minutes after he started talking to himself, Snotlout's leaving.

"That's phase 1 complete." Hiccup murmured as Snotlout is out of earshot. "Let's go." Hiccup states as he starts to quietly get up.

"Wait!" I say. "How are we going to get back without Snotlout spotting us?"
