Dawn's POV
I had caught up to Predaking. Needless to say, he was surprised by my presence. He tried to make me leave. But I wouldn't. We are the last living predacons. We found a graveyard of our ancestors and made it our territory. Predaking still wasn't happy about me sticking around, but he is no longer trying to make me leave. I wonder what Nahko is going right about now?
Nahko's POV
"Hurry up, Smokescreen, or we'll be late!" I shot as we race towards Kaon. Where Bee is about to get promoted.
"You're the one who wanted a tour," he reminds me.
"We arrive and join the others.We have endured bitter hardship and countless battles. But at long last, our home planet has been restored. We would not be standing on Cybertronian soil, were it not for the valiant efforts of both those assembled here and our absent comrades. Jazz and Ratchet, who remains on Earth to safeguard our human friends, and Cliffjumper, who made the ultimate sacrifice, " Optimus states.
"But on this day, at the dawn of a new era, we gather to bestow a special honour. One earned by Bumblebee, " he declares. Bumblebee steps forward and kneels before Optimus. "Nahko, I think it only fair you our newest Prime does the honours," he tells me. I nod and step forward.
"Bumblebee, we have not known each other long. But since I joined team Prime, I have been impressed by your bravery, your loyalty, your honour, and your spark. If not for you and the others, I would not be the Prime I am today. So by the power invested in me as Nahko Prime, I promote you to warrior, " I declare. Optimus then steps forward with the star saber.
"In the company of your fellow Autobots, in the presence of our creator, Primus, the living core of our planet, and by the authority vested in me by the Matrix of Leadership, Bumblebee arise a warrior" he says touching Bee's shoulders with the saber. Bumblebee rises as the others cheer and Wheeljack blows up the statue of Megatron. I laugh, typical Wheeljack.
The party starts. Arcee comes over to me as I watch Smokescreen congratulate Bee. "You still haven't told him yet" she states
"Who is supposed to make the first move?" I ask her. "I've never felt this way about anyone before and have no idea how relationships work here" I state.
"Just be yourself" she tells me.
"I am sorry to interrupt your celebration" Optimus tells us.
"Here it comes" Arcee mutters.
"Primes never party" Bulkhead states.
"But I must take my leave of you" Optimus announces.
"Sir, may I ask why?" Magnus asks.
"Though Cybertron is once again able to support life, our planet is currently incapable of generating new lives. Not until I retrieve the wellspring from which all
life on Cybertron is born and ultimately returns. The Allspark" Optimus explains.
"I remember Alpha Trion and Solus mentioning it once. But isn't here on Cybertron?" I ask him confused.
"It has not been here for thousands of years. As the war for Cybertron reached a tipping point and the Decepticon army appeared to be unstoppable, I opted to safeguard the Allspark from Megatron by covertly sending itmto a distant sector of the galaxy. The Matrix of Leadership will enablenme to guide us to its present location," Optimus explains.
"What are we waiting for? Let's take the warship and bring it back" Bee suggests.
"We can't all go" I tell him.
"Nahko, is correct" Optimus agrees. "These remain dangerous times, Bumblebee. We cannot leave Cybertron unsecured not with Starscream and Shockwave unaccounted for" he states.
"Not to mention our stray predacon," Ultra Magnus adds.
"Predaking is not a threat to us. Besides Dawn is with him," I remind him.
"Ultra Magnus, you will supervise patrols to find and capture the fugitive Decepticons" Optimus instructs.
"I would be honored" Magnus tells him.
"Bulkhead, you will lead the reconstruction effort. Begin by building a landing
field to welcome returning refugees" Optimus tells him. Bulkhead nods his head. "Nahko you shall be in charge in my absence " he tells me.
"I will take good care of Cybertron until you return " I assure him. "But please don't go alone" I add. He nods his head and looks at Wheeljack.
"Wheeljack, I will require your extensive experience navigating deep space" he states.
"When do we leave?" He asks. The leave straight away to begin their search. Needless to say, I am nervous about leading the others in Optimus absence. But if he believes in me, I to must believe in myself.
"Well you all heard Optimus. Ultra get teams together to look for Starscream and Shockwave. But ensure our other prisoners are watched at all times" I instruct. "Bulkhead gather the former Decepticon drones together and get to work building that landing platform " I add.
"You got it Nahko" he says and leaves.
"On it ma'am "Ultra Magnus states. I sigh, I wish he wouldn't call me that. I look up wondering where Dawn and Predaking are now. Will praying to Primus that Optimus and Wheeljack return swiftly and safely with the All Spark.
