Nahko's POV
"You want me to help you destroy my kin?" Dawn asks me. It has been a couple of days since we reunited with the autobots. Who are still searching for Shockwave's lab. Dawn and I are out on a flight above the clouds talking.
"I don’t want you to. I just wanted to tell you that we plan on destroying the lab. I understand they are your kin and are innocent. But we can't risk putting this world in jeopardy, " I tell her.
"I don’t like it," she grumbles.
"I know, I wish we could free them. But" I bow my head.
"You don't trust them. We predacons are not easily tamed, and they will follow the strongest predacon. Yes, I bested Predaking once. But there is no guarantee I would win next time. Predacons respect strength and are loyal to those stronger than them. Which Predaking is, " she states.
"Who is Predaking?" I ask.
"The other predacon," she answers. "The autobots are searching for the lab," she states. I nod my head. She sighs sadly.
"I am sorry, Dawn, I wish there was another way," I tell her honestly.
"Promise to make it quick?" She asks, and I nod my head. "Is Smokescreen your spark mate?" She asks me.
"What?" I ask, confused.
"Spark mate, what do humans call it?" She mutters to herself. "Oh husband, is he your husband?" She asks me. I nearly fall off her in surprise by her question. Feeling energon, flush my cheeks.
"No, we're just friends," I tell her.
"But you like him more than a friend, do you not?" She asks me.
"Maybe, but we're in the middle of a war, Dawn. There is no time for romance, " I tell her.
"I think Primus would be happy that there is more love in the world" she tells me.
'She is right' Alpha Trion agrees.
'Where have you guys been?' I ask him.
'We only help for a short period of time' Prima states.
'It is time for you to make your own path' Megatronus adds.
'You may not hear us anymore young one. But we will always be there, watching over you' Alpha Trion tells me.
'Solus how do we revive Cybertron? You said there was another way without the forge' I state.
'There is, but you must find out on your own. But I will tell you this much, it involves synthetic energon. You must discover the rest on your own' she tells me.
'Good luck Nahko Prime, may Primus be with you' they all say.
'No, don't go!' I shout. But I feel them leave.
"Nahko!" Dawn shouts as I shake my head. "What happened? You were in a trance and I couldn't reach you. Not even mentally " she states.
"I was talking to the original Primes, they were saying goodbye. I will no longer have their guidance " I state sadly.
"Don’t worry sister, you are a fine Prime and will be a great leader one day" she assures me. I give her a grateful smile. "Let's return home" she suggests and I nod my head in agreement.
(Time skip)
When we return I notice Ratchet working on his synthetic energon formula. Good we'll need it to revive Cybertron. "Hey gorgeous, did you two have a good flight?" Jazz asks.
"It was pleasant " I tell him as I hop off of Dawn. She stretches, then goes to lay down by the ground bridge. "Is your ship fixed yet?" I ask him.
"Almost, but it needs fuel and even with the new mine we found. We're still low on energon" he states. "Which is why Ratchet is working on his formula again," he adds. Just then Wheeljack returns.
"Soldier, I don't recall giving you permission to leave the base" Ultra Magnus tells him.
"Because you didn't, sir" Wheeljack tells him.
"Why are your hands smeared with coolant?" Ultra Magnus asks him. Wheeljack told him how he recalibrated his ship's engines. How it improved the thrust power by 10%. Just then Optimus returns. We all went over and greeted him happily.
"Anything to report?" I ask him curious.
"Decepticon activity is at a low. I fear that Megatron may have collected the specimens, he requires to clone his army" he states. Though he did pause looking at Ultra Magnus and Dawn. Neither interact much with the others. Unless he is giving orders or reprimanding some, Ultra Magnus doesn't talk to anyone. She spends time with Jazz and Smokescreen, but I can tell Dawn feels like an outsider. I wish I could help them, but how?
(Time skip)
Somehow we had found the lab. It was by accident, we thought we'd discovered a new energon mine run by the cons. It turned out to be Shockwave's lab. We did get more energon, which we needed. Then Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus blow up the lab. Killing the predacons inside.
Predaking was not happy and we learnt predacons can transform. Dawn tested it herself and she looks amazing. But she was deeply sadden by the loss of her kin. So has decided to take sometime away from the base. To moan her loss, she assured me if I ever needed her. She'd be there.
"Don’t worry Nahko, she'll be back" Smokescreen assures me as we watch her fly away.
"I know, but I will miss her" I tell him.
"You still have me" he states while placing his servo on my shoulder. We lock optics. "I mean us, the team" he says flustered. I smile and kiss his cheek.
"Let's go check on Magnus and Wheeljack " I tell him. I head into the hanger and he follows me. We arrive to see Magnus waking up.
"Ratchet will take good care of you" Optimus assures him. As Ultra Magnus looks at his servally damaged servo. He will need a new one.
"Magnus fought like a Wrecker" Wheeljack praises.
"Optimus, when we spoke earlier. What could be greater than an army?" Ultra Magnus asks him. I smile thinking of Miko.
"A human concept, one I have learned since coming to Earth. A family" Optimus tells him. As we all gather around Ultra Magnus, even Wheeljack.
"Family are always there for each other. Through both good and bad times. They may not always see eye to eye, but they are always there forbeach other. As we are for each other and you " I state.
"Thank you" he says.
"He needs rest" Ratchet states.
"I think we have all earned an early night, do you agree?" I ask Optimus. He nods his head in agreement. We all head to our assigned quarters. I call Miko.
"Hey, what's up?" She asks me.
"Nothing, just missing you" I tell her.
"Don’t worry, the guys and I will be visiting again soon" she assures me. "How is our sister?" She asks.
"She has gone on a scouting trip, I will tell you why when you visit next" I tell her.
"No fair, why can't I know now?" She asks me.
"I gotta go, see you when you visit" I say and hang up. I smile, she is no doubt cursing my name at the moment. I lay on my bed. Sometimes I miss being human, being normal. But thanks to Jazz, Miko, Smokescreen and now Dawn I am more at peace being a techo organic. Along with being a Prime. But I know I still have a lot to learn and now I no longer have the guidance of the past Primes. Just Optimus and the team. I hope it is enough and that I don't let them down.
