" No Skip is not here right now," Kris Keller said in confusion as she read through the warrant that Detective Browne had literally forced into her hands. She furrowed her brow. What on earth was going on? It said they had the right to search her apartment? Oh no. The hell they did. " What is going on? Skip has never been in trouble with the law before? I don't understand this. "

The short portly White man in the ill fitting suit that had came in along with a taller stocky Black woman detective and a uniformed deputy rolled his bleary eyes at her very unprofessionally and snorted," That's what they all say, lady. Step aside now. "

The  uniform, a tall and slender Black woman who seemed oddly familiar to her for some reason, stepped forward and demanded," Where is he ? Where is that..... Where is Skip Sands? "

She also saw the other Black woman look at the uniformed cop and shake her head at her. Then the woman glanced at her. " Yes. Where is the suspect? Skip Sands? "

Kris was getting even more confused now. And angry. " He's jogging. He believes very much in good health and wellness. What unit are you from ? I want your badge numbers. This has to be a mistake. What is he supposed to be suspected of doing? "

The uniformed cop came forward with her uniformed body and service revolver worn high on her hip. She wore mirrored sunglasses which Kris hated since she couldn't see the woman's eyes at all. " He's wanted for rape and sexual assault. Do you know exactly what route he jogs  in?  On the regular? "

The Black woman detective sighed briskly," I'm Detective Nita Browne. This is my partner Wally Williams. We're from the Sex Crime unit and we wish to ask him some questions about an incident involving one of the parents from his school. Do you know what area we can find him in " jogging" , ma'am? "

Kris pursed her lips at them all. She lifted her head. " A parent? Which parent? I'm principal of the school he currently teaches at. Our relationship is not well known there so I do expect some discretion from you people. Who is this parent? And Sex Crime? That is ridiculous. Skip is incredibly gentle. He would never rape anyone! "

Wally growled," Well apparently you don't know everything about the man. Because we have  rape tests , pictures and a statement that he did indeed beat and sexually assault a parent in that school. " His grey eyes with their glint of blue almost screamed with disgust. " A disabled parent at that. What kind of man is he, lady? "

Browne said," Wally , you start the search. Lane and I are going to check local parks and running trails close by for the suspect. By the way do you know the whereabouts of Skip Sands on Thursday night between the hours of four and five pm ? "

Kris bristled in shock and anger. First the name of the uniform. Second that the parent was disabled.

They only had one disabled parent at the school this term.

One troublemaker disabled parent.

She pulled out her cell phone to warn Skip as she retorted," I'm not answering any questions without my lawyer present. And neither is Skip. "
