Kris: Skip, what is going on? The police are here. At my home. Our home. They claim you did something or other to that Norland -Lane man on Thursday night, afternoon, what ever.
Skip: I didn't do anything. That man is very unstable. He's been that way since college. In fact he still blames me for a harmless little prank I played on him back then. You know how unreasonable he can be. And his husband. And that child. The whole family is unstable really. I saw in the paper that Spencer's own mother is still awaiting trial for trying to kill his husband. Apparently lying schemes run in the family.
Kris: Do you have an alibi, isn't that what they call it on TV , for Thursday between 4 and 5 , darling? I was here but you were not. You said you were out walking.
Skip: I was walking. I would never do anything to hurt anyone. You know that. Especially not someone like him. I always felt a little sorry for him in college. If anyone is responsible for something happening to that man it's his husband. Their relationship was always a little strange even back then.
Kris: You weren't out walking.
Skip: I wasn't?
Kris: No. You weren't out walking alone. You were here at the apartment. With me. All evening from four on. I can get JT to vouch for it too. And I will tell the detective in the ugly man like suits that you will meet them at the station. I'll also call my lawyer. He'll meet you there. Don't say a word until he gets there. Don't say a word when he gets there. I love you.
Skip: I love you too, beautiful. I didn't do this. Spencer Norland -Lane is an unstable liar.
