Glenn

.

Great. What a good timing.

I did not expect to see her inside my office. She was temporarily relieving Nay Mira. I've seen Nay Mira before. Madalas ako sa opisina ko lalo na kung may mga bagong proyekto na kailangan kong matapos. Nanay only does cleaning every weekends. Day off kasi ito ng mga cleaner sa firm.

I admit it. I was kind of lost a while ago, but then seeing her again took the weight off my shoulders. That's how I describe that. That was somehow how I felt earlier.

"Any good news?" si Drew, tinapik niyang bahagya ang balikat ko at saka naupo na sa tabi ko.

"Yes. I was just finalizing the paperwork," I said as I grabbed the right folder, which was on top.

"May nahanap ka na ba? Beauty told me that you are looking for a responsible and trusted PA. I can help you with that."

"No need, Drew. I found her." I smiled, feeling confident this time.

"Really? That's good. So, ano? Sasama ka sa survey ngayong linggo?"

"Oo. I will take my new PA with me."

"That's good. Then, I will see you there."

"Sure."

Drew and I were quick as we discussed the important matter of the ceremony. The rest of the boys will be there excluding Reeve.

IT'S SUNDAY TODAY. It's supposed to be a day off for me, but in times like this, there's no such thing as a free day for a person like me.

For families, it's their time with their kids going to churches, and then after that, they hang out and spend time outside. I've seen some of my cousins settling into that type of routine, and I'm happy for them. But for me? Not for a while, or it may not happen anymore.

"You are not coming!? What the hell are you doing, Glenn? What am I supposed to do with my guests? Nakakahiya sa pamilya ni Saber. I want you here now, Glenn! And I won't accept a no!"

Halos ilayo ko na ang cellphone sa tainga dahil sa galit na boses ni Mama. I understand that it's a family gathering today, and this is what I hate about it. I hate going to gatherings, especially if there's another family around. Not to mention, the Monteverde are close to us.

"Mom, I will not promise, but I will do my best, okay?" I sighed.

"Don't do your best, Glenn. Just come over. I don't care if you're going to be late or not. You don't have to join us on the table if you don't want. It's not like Saber is here. Oh, by the way, Marie told me that she will be back in a few days and is settling down."

I gritted my teeth, and my ears heated. I hate to admit it, but hearing Saber's name still affects me. I still got that panning feeling inside my chest.

Mama ended the call. I felt shit already, and now knowing Saber was settling down made me feel uneasy.

Dammit. Why the hell do I still feel like this about her? I'm over it. It's been three years. She has moved on, and does, did I?

The three knocking on the door brought my mind back to where I am now. I looked at the halfway-open door and saw her smiling innocently at me.

"Good morning, Sir."
