Chapter 30: Raven
"I can't believe he would do that!" Octavia exclaims. "I said he should talk to Monty, not kiss him."
"Why would he, anyway?" I ask. "He has you."
"Oh, you know Jasper, he probably felt bad for Monty. It was a pity kiss."
I nod. "Probably was," I say.
"I'll go and speak to him." She raises herself up steadily and hops to her house.
For a few minutes I sit alone on the ground. Lots of people from the Ark walk around, greeting their kids and friends. Clarke cries into Finn's arms over by the drop ship; I'm guessing her mom didn't make it.
"Are you okay?" Bellamy asks, sitting down next to me.
"As good as it gets, I guess," I say.
"I'm sorry for everything."
"I forgive you." I lean in to kiss him but he sweeps me off my feet and spins me around.
The Chancellor smiles at us, despite the fact that Bellamy tried to kill him those five years ago.
"You two look happy," Clarke laughs, wiping her eyes.
"I heard your mom didn't make it down," Bellamy says, putting me down.
Finn wraps his arms around Clarke's waist and Bellamy clenches his jaw. "Her mom was killed on the way down," Finn tells us. "Freak accident."
"Let's not focus on that," Clarke says. "Let's focus on the now. Most of the Ark survived getting down here, and that's matters, right?"
We all nod.

"I talked to Jas," Octavia tells me. "It was awkward."
"What did he say?" I ask.
"He said that Monty wanted him to kiss him."
"I don't believe that for a second," I say.
"I can't be asked to argue with him about it; there's been enough stress this week."
"Did you hear about Dr. Griffin?" I ask.
"Yeah, it's a shame about all the casualties. But, despite the casualties, a load of people have survived these five years on the ground."
I nod. "No more grounders, everyone on Earth - perhaps there is good in this world."

A/N
This was really short because it was basically just a wrap up of the series n shit. I can't believe - after almost a whole year - I've finished two books and made a load of friends (and lost a few). I'm so happy that I'm meeting one of the friends I've made through this in the holidays! Also I've entered the series into the #Wattys2015 (I think you can enter two books???).
