Dear readers,
The updates will not come if the response rate falls. I will not post repeated reminders. If the response rate does not meet expectations, I will put the book on hold till Aradhana is back and only focus on dad.
Thank you,
Swati Sandeep.
Arjun walked into to Abhi room with the food tray. Once again the boy skipped his meals and Arjun found it hard to ignore it. Abhi was seated by the window sill and staring out of the widow. He was worried for his bhaiya. The phoenix was gone for hours and yet he did not hear back from him, neither did he get a chance to talk it out with his bhaiyu. The man was gone for hours.
With each passing second Abhi's anxiety increased. Both Roohi and Karan tried their best to make him eat but he could not. Not when he was so worried.
Arjun placed the plate in front of him with a thud startling him.
"Aap? (you?)" Abhi tried to get up but Arjun forced him to remain seated.
"How many times do we have to go though the same rule Abhi?" Arjun glared him down, "what did I say about skipped meals?"
Abhi looked away. meals was the last thing he was worried about.
"Did no one teach you the power of conversation? If you are mad at me we can discuss it like rational adults"
Abhi gave him a sharp look. Arjun winced, he was the adult in the relationship and yet the boy could give him reprimanding looks. Not that he was not justified. He had taken his own sweet time stewing about what happened.
"Alright I went MIA, but you decided to act like a moron first" Arjun made himself comfortable beside Abhi and picked up the plate. Abhi still remained silent.
"Jyada nakhre maat kar, kha. (Don't act so stubborn, eat)" Arjun offered him a morsel. Abhi shook his head.
"Maar khana hai tughe? (Do you wish to get punished?)"
"Go ahead, bhaiyu. I belong to you. You have every right to do with me as you please. Afterall you paid a crore to keep me here. As you sla...."
A sharp sting on his back silenced him. Abhi looked up shocked. Arjun had never before raised his hand to him, not even casually.
