Arjun waited for his cue. He could hear the cheers of the crowd. Their love was nothing new for him, but it never failed to leave him amazed. It was their admiration that defined him, that made him into the man he was today. He would never forget who made him into a rockstar. His fans would always have his first loyalty.
"You have the bullet proof vest on" Roohi whispered in his ear. She was standing right next to him. Usually she was in the arena with the audience, but for the first time she had opted to stay with him instead. She had not left his side since they had come to Gao. Karan arranged for a very efficient security team, but they were not upto Roohanka Dhanrajgir's standards.
"I do wifey, stop worrying. No one will hurt me here. I am well loved in Goa. Chill darling." He brushed away the hair from her eyes. She had let the hair down, the way he loved. Sometimes he wished she was not so attractive. Life would have been very easy for him then.
"It is never too safe, Arjun. Tell me you have the west on?" She forced him to look at her. Arjun wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer. The guitar he was holding on to dug on to Roohi's back. She shot him an annoyed look, but he merely smiled in answer. "Feel that Princess?"
He pulled her a little more closer till she felt the vest, Roohi visibly relaxed.
"Bade fakar hai apne pati ke? (You care so much for your husband?) Are you sure you are falling in love with the man, you call a moron?"
"Love and with you?" Roohi scoffed and pulled back. She had to. Her heart was palpitating wildly. Truth was she was attracted to the Rockstar. She wanted to deny it but her body had a mind of its own. Arjun saw the blush creeping though her neck and shot her an evil grin.
"You know Roohi, you can lie, but your eyes......" His phone buzzed interrupting what ever he planned on saying. Arjun did not let the smile fade but took a step back, he checked his phone discreetly. He was waiting for the message.
