The breakfast table was filled with unusual silence

The breakfast table was filled with unusual silence. Abhi looked from Andy to Arjun. He could feel the tension between them. When ever Andy was around, Arjun was always enthusiastic. He made it a point to spend every walking moment with him, but that day he was hardly looking at Andy.

He gave Roohi a questioning look but she looked away. She was doing that a lot. Since the moment she had encountered the phoenix she shut herself off completely. Abhi was surprised by the changed demeanor. The food was delicious but for the first time Abhi did not feel like eating. His bhaiya had texted to let him know that he was fine, but he needed to see him once. He knew that was not possible anytime soon. He needed to keep himself engaged, and did not know how.

"When is your school starting, Abhi?" Andy broke the silence. He was getting uncomfortable with the silence. He knew Arjun would need time to process what happened, and Roohi was in her rare moods. So he had no one to talk to but Abhi and he was not averse to the thought. The Brat could give back as good as he got, that made him relax around him. He did not have to watch his words around Abhi.

"Kal se. (From tomorrow)" Abhi spoke dully.

"Great, so all set?"

Abhi nodded his head.

"Got the books?"

Abhi nodded again.

"Do you like the place?"

Abhi looked up. Andy went over and above to avoid conversation with him. He was speaking to him way more than he had spoken over the past four days.

"I asked you a question Abhi"

"Why the early morning inquisition Ardik? Let the boy eat"

Andy sighed and looked at his bhaiyu, "Yaar, why can't you just yell at me and get it over with? This is not done bhaiyu"

Abhi looked up, curious. He had not picked on the fact that Arjun was upset with Andy. He assumed the rockstar was in one of his moods.

"What is there to yell, Ardik? Did you do anything wrong?"

Roohi looked up surprised. She knew the tone very well. Arjun used the tone only when he was extremely annoyed. Where others lost their calm in anger, Arjun became the ice man. A quality that she both loved and hated. She looked at Andy worried. She did not know what the boy did but she did not want him suffering needlessly.

"What happened Andy?" She spoke cautiously.

"Nothing" The brothers answered together. Arjun got up putting an end to the conversation. "I am getting late for a meeting Roohi. Arrange for security, I need to leave"

"Bhaiyu....."

Arjun stopped Andy by showing his palm. "I am not mad at you Ardik. Give me a little time. You don't have to worry about me. If you are planning on staying we will talk in the evening, if not...."
