Vox leans against my desk, his arms crossed over his chest. "If you're offering." He replies with a playful smirk.
I let out a small laugh. "Not what I meant, Vox." I say while hitting him gently with the papers in my hand.
Vox chuckles lightly, his smirk widening. "You're no fun." He says with a pout, his usual teasing tone present in his voice. "I'm lots of fun, you just need to try harder if you want to get me in the sheets." I tease back.
Vox's smirk widens into a grin as he looks at me, clearly enjoying his banter with me. "Is that a challenge?" He asks, his voice low and suggestive.
I stare back at him with a fire in my eyes. "If you want it to be. Sirens love challenges you know."
Vox's grin turns into a sly smile as he slowly leans in towards me. "Oh, it's a challenge alright. One that I intend to win." He says, his tone oozing with confidence just like his usual self.
"Well then, I'm excited to see what you do to try and win." A mischievous gleam appears in Vox's eyes as he leans in even closer, his voice dropping to a seductive whisper.
"Oh you'll find out soon enough, doll." He says, his tone dripping with a seductive charm that sends sparks dancing across my skin.
I feel a shiver of anticipation run down my spine at his seductive tone. His confidence and charisma are always an attractive feature that he possesses, and I can't help but feel drawn to it.
I lean closer to him, my eyes locked onto his. "You better not disappoint me, Vox." Before he can continue our little stare down his screen changes to show an incoming call from Val.
Vox's expression turns to one of slight annoyance as Val's call interrupts our moment. "Of course he'd call now. He always has the worst timing." He mutters under his breath as he steps back from me and straightens his bowtie.
"Go have fun with your boy toy." I tease as I wiggle my fingers as a wave. Vox rolls his eyes playfully before he begins making his way to the door.
"Oh I'm sure he'll be oh so fun to deal with." He mutters sarcastically as he flicks his fingers in a mock salutation before exiting my office.
The silence of my office becomes more prominent as Vox leaves, the only sound being the ticking of the clock on the wall.
I let out a defeated sigh as I looked down at the pages of chaotic notes and drawings, my mind filled with ideas on how to transform this mess into a good soundtrack. "At least Velvette's soundtrack is done." I say to myself as I begin to brainstorm.

Sitting for hours on end as I try to create a good soundtrack out of Killjoy's mess of notes and drawings proves to be almost an impossible task.
My brain feels like it's going to explode from the overload of ideas swirling through it and yet none of them seem quite right.
I lean back in my chair and take off my glasses, pressing my fingers against my temples. I feel a migraine forming from the constant headache of trying to make sense of Killjoy's notes and coming up with something suitable.
As I massage my temples, I decide a quick break is much-needed. I push away from my desk and stand, stretching my limbs to loosen up.
A small groan escapes my lips as I stretch my arms above my head to loosen up. My gaze drifts out the window, looking out over the city of Hell below.
I walk closer to the window admiring the view before my face pales as I notice a certain radio tower back in operation.
"Oh shit." I mutter under my breath as I continue to stare at the tower, a feeling of unease creeping up my spine.
Vox is going to lose his shit. I think as I continue to stare, not being able to take my eyes off of his radio tower.
As the realization of what this means sinks in, I can't help but feel a rising panic. I take a deep breath and mentally prepare myself for the chaos that is likely to ensue as a result of Alastor being back in action.
I shake my head slightly, a momentary wave of nostalgia washing over me as I recall a time when things were much simpler, when our lives didn't revolve around this endless competition. I push the thought aside though, knowing that there's no use longing for a time that's long gone.
I give the papers on my desk another glance, knowing that it'd be pointless to attempt to work on that mess right now anyway.
Gathering up the papers I set them aside for the time being, figuring I'll have to deal with that headache later.
As I weigh out my possible options for what I can do I don't come up with many. I settle on going to Vox's room and spending some time with Vark.
I've been barging into his room for years just to see Vark to the point he's not even surprised anymore when he walks into his room and sees me there.
The idea of spending some time with Vark sounds like a pleasant distraction from the chaos and stress that's sure to come from the events unfolding. With a newfound sense of determination, I head out of my office and make my way to Vox's room.
When I arrive at Vox's room, I don't bother knocking. I push open the door and step inside, immediately greeted by the sight of Vark swimming about in his tank, his large body gracefully moving through the water.
I smile fondly as I see Vark swimming about, the sight of his large body moving through the water bringing me a sense of comfort. I make my way over to his tank, watching as he swims around curiously.
As I watch Vark swim, I feel a strong craving to dive into the water myself. It's been a while since I've been in the pool, and the thought of gliding through the water sounds incredibly appealing right now.
I make a mental note to add that to my to-do list for a day when I have some free time. I spend hours in Vox's room, watching Vark swim about and relishing the simplicity of the moment.
The monotony of his movements and the soothing sound of the water sloshing in his tank is oddly calming, and I find myself feeling slightly less stressed than before.
I sink to the floor leaning on the tank as I begin to hum a random song, closing my eyes in the process.
As I hum the random song, I begin to get lost in the melody, letting the sound of my voice fill the silence of the room. Vark seems to be enjoying the tune as well, his movements in the tank slowing and becoming more graceful, almost like he's trying to match the pace of my humming.
It's so hard to find the space to sing due to the sound of my voice enticing anyone who hears it. Moments like this are so comforting, being able to sing without any repercussions.
I continue humming for a while longer, savoring the feeling of being able to sing without worrying about the hypnotizing effects it can have on others.
Vark seems to be thoroughly enjoying my impromptu performance, his movements in the water becoming more languid and content.
I can't help but notice how much Vark seems to be enjoying my humming. It's as if he enjoys my voice just as much as I enjoy the peaceful simplicity of this moment.
The room continues to be filled with the soothing sounds of my humming and the gentle movement of Vark's body in the water, the atmosphere almost like a little piece of paradise in the chaotic world of Hell.
The sound of Vark's movements change as I realize he's jumping out of his tank to lay in my lap. I feel the weight of Vark's body as he leaps out of his tank, his massive size easily filling up my lap. I look down with a small smile, gently petting his head.
I feel my skin shifting as small scales begin to appear from the water that's dripping off of Vark's scales. It's a normal occurrence, a part of my nature as a siren, but I continue to watch the transformation in slight awe as I pet Vark.
"You're just such a good boy aren't you?" I coo at the shark in my lap. Vark lets out an almost purr-like sound in response, his wide-set jaw making him almost look like he's smiling with contentment. He seems to be soaking up the praise, his tail flicking slightly as he basks in my affection.
