"Hematemesis, or vomiting blood, is a serious symptom that requires immediate attention. In his case, our tests have revealed that he has a tumor in his stomach, which is causing the bleeding."
I frowned, "A tumor? You mean cancer?"
Dr. David Hacinto nodded sympathetically. "Yes, I'm afraid so. The tumor is malignant, and it's causing the bleeding that led to the hematemesis. We've done some imaging tests, and it appears the tumor is quite large and has spread to some of the surrounding tissues."
I just nodded. "What does that mean for his treatment?"
"Well, we'll need to take a multi-pronged approach," Dr. Hacinto explained. "First, we'll need to address the bleeding. We may need to do an endoscopy to stop the bleeding and stabilize his condition. Once that's done, we can discuss further treatment options for the cancer itself."
I looked confused. I just don't get it, kung tumor pala ang problema, bakit pinapatagal pa ang operasyon.
"Can't you just remove the tumor?"
Dr. Hacinto expression turned winced. "Unfortunately, the tumor is quite advanced, and surgery may not be an option at this point. We may need to consider other treatments like chemotherapy or radiation therapy to try to shrink the tumor and slow its growth."
I already investigated his background information, he has family, but his both parents already dead, also his ex-wife, and he has one daughter which is in China.
Masyadong fresh.
"How's her condition ?" I asked again.
"I'm sorry..." I said despite the sudden silence, he glance at me and checking what exactly I said. "I know it's my fault that your mother is in this condition. I understand your anger, and I accept it. I'm so sorry, Travis."
