Jungkook's Pov

(Y/n has been missing for two nights. The day she tried to escape.)

Two days. Two excruciating, anxiety-ridden days had passed. We hadn't found a single clue about her. It was like she had vanished into thin air. And Taehyung? He had disappeared like a ghost the day after she went missing. He hadn't shown up at our door like usual, and every time we tried calling his number, it said 'does not exist.' It was as if he had been wiped off from the face of the earth.

"We should put up wanted posters for Taehyung! I'm sure he took her!" I shouted, my frustration boiling over as I ran my fingers through my hair, pacing back and forth on the road. We were combing through the last place Y/N had been seen, desperate for any sign of her.

"Yah! Stop being so impatient! We're doing our best to find her!" Jin's voice was sharp, but I could hear the undercurrent of worry.

"It has been two whole days! How do you expect me to stay patient?!" I snapped back, my voice cracking with desperation.

"Sir, I think you should see this." One of Namjoon's men called out. I jogged over, Jin and Namjoon close behind. The man handed Namjoon a broken cell phone. Its screen was a spiderweb of white cracks, clearly smashed on purpose.

My heart leaped into my throat when I saw the bunny keychain hanging from its cover. "It's Y/N's phone!" I exclaimed, my voice trembling.

"Are you sure?" Namjoon asked, his eyes searching mine for confirmation.

"100%!" I insisted, my hands shaking.

Namjoon nodded, his expression grave. "Let's go back to my office. I need to examine this. You two head home; I'll reach out if needed."

Jin nodded, grabbing my arm to pull me away. "But—" I started to protest, but Namjoon cut me off.

"Don't worry. We'll find her." He patted my shoulder, trying to reassure me, but his eyes were filled with the same dread that was gnawing at my insides.

As we walked back to the car, I couldn't stop thinking about the phone. The bunny keychain was something Y/N had cherished, a gift from me on our 6 months aniversary. Seeing it broken and discarded like that filled me with a cold fear. What had happened to her? Where could she be?

Jin must have sensed my turmoil. "We'll get her back," he said softly, but his grip on my arm was tight, as if he was afraid I'd bolt at any moment.

I nodded, swallowing hard. The sun was setting, casting long shadows on the road. The world seemed darker, colder, and emptier without her. Every second that passed felt like an eternity, and I couldn't shake the feeling that we were running out of time.

y/n's pov

I opened my eyes to find myself lying on a cold, hard floor, a stark contrast to the last time I regained consciousness. My hands were bound together with an iron chain, the metal biting into my skin. The entire room was stark white, devoid of any furniture or windows. There was only one white door, which I knew was locked. A narrow, transparent glass opening in the door allowed a sliver of harsh light to seep in, casting eerie shadows on the walls.

I felt significantly weaker than before, my limbs heavy and my mind foggy. What was the point of chaining me if my body was already drugged? With considerable effort, I managed to sit up, my muscles protesting with every movement. Curiosity gnawed at me about what was happening on the other side of the wall. I tried to stand but nearly tripped on my first step. Not wanting to injure myself further, I crawled to the wall and used it for support to stand. My eyes fit perfectly with the narrow opening.

Peering through the glass, I saw large tables cluttered with scientific equipment. People in white lab coats moved briskly, their faces obscured by masks. Machines hummed and beeped, their screens displaying various data points. The scene resembled a high-tech laboratory. My mind raced with questions. What was I doing in a lab? Why was I being held here?

The door creaked open, and the same ajumma entered, carrying a tray of food. "Have dinner, honey," she said, smiling at me, but I couldn't bring myself to return the gesture. The last thing I wanted was more drugged food.

I turned my gaze away from her, frustration boiling within me. She placed the tray beside me. "You'll get weaker, dear. Your body needs the energy to fight."

"I'm already stuck here forever! I don't have the energy to fight anymore! Whatever I eat or drink will be drugged. It's better if I die starving!" I spat at her, my voice raw with anger and despair.

"I didn't give the drug." My eyes shot up to meet hers. She winked at me, a conspiratorial glint in her eye. "Don't you dare say this to the boss."

"T-thank you," I stammered, my tone softening. Guilt washed over me for having lashed out at her. "Was Taehyung always this heartless?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

"Taehyung?" Her eyes widened in surprise.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I meant Taecyeon. I'm used to that name," I chuckled nervously, trying to cover my slip.

"Do you know Taehyunggie?" she asked, her expression shifting to one of curiosity.

Suddenly, I felt a surge of nervousness. "W-what d-do you mean? Taehyung and Taecyeon are the same man."

"Taehyung is Taecyeon's twin brother."

Her words hit me like a freight train, leaving me reeling. Another shock to add to the growing list. My mind raced, trying to process this new information. Twin brother? This changed everything.
