Crossroads

Dinner

Days passed and I somehow felt an emptyness. Like if I was lonely. But I wasn't alone at all. Huh...ironic..I was not alone, but I felt lonely.

Matt was working in a new project. He had improved a lot in his career life. When we met he was just a simple assistant. Now he was co-directing a movie. It was huge for him.

And I was really happy for him. But he had to be away from home so many hours. And I was just left with Max almost all of the time.

But I cherished the beautiful moments we had all of us together.

I woke up early as always and I felt no body next to mine.

Matt must have gone to work really early again.

I just layed in bed a couple of minutes when my phone buzzed.

It was a message from Adam.
Why is he texting me at this hour of the day? He is crazy. Maybe that's why.

I read it.

«Hi Chris, it's Adam...in case you don't have my number. The boys and I were planning to have dinner together and of course you too. Just to spend some time the 4 of us and have fun. It's at my place today, at 4. Hope you can make it»

I smiled cause I was not going to be bored all day.

And I wasn't going to be even with Max because today it is 'daddy's day'

I sent a message back.

«Yes I have your number DUMBASS! We are co-workers...remember? Sure, I'll go! See you later»

I changed my clothes and put on a simple short black dress with black heels.

I called my driver to go to Adam's place. And told him the adress Adam had sent me.

When I arrived I was pretty blown away. His house was gorgeous.
Adam opened the door before I even rang the bell.

"Wow..yo..you're beautiful"

I blushed. Stupid cheeks..

"Hey Ad, thanks..why are you being nice?"

"I'm not. I just can't deny the truth"

He smirked not taking his eyes off me.
What is he doing?!

"Are you gonna let me in or what?!"

I said laughing.

"Nop...

..I'm just kidding come in!"

"Man I hate you"

I chuckled giving him a punch on his stomach.

"Ouuuch! You're getting stronger! That actually felt like a punch from a 7 year old..not a 5 year old like it used to."

"Ha ha very funny, now where is everyone?!"

"In the backyard, come"

He grabbed my hand leading me.
Damn it Adam, don't start.

I removed my hand from his.

"I can walk on my own you know"

He just laughed.

When we got there, my eyes widened. It was the most beautiful backyard I've ever seen. There were flowers from all the colors everywhere and it looked so pretty. There was a huge pool in the middle of the grass. It didn't seem like Adam's house at all.

There was a big table full of food and different kinds of drinks.

Blake stood up.

"The queen has arrived"
He joked making everyone laugh.
