Crossroads

Help

A guy in a black suit gave us our microphones as we passed through the door, telling us something. The place was too loud, I only managed to hear the last part.

"When the drums start, that's your key to enter"

He told to the four of us.

The crowd was shouting like crazy. I could hear my name in the screams.

The drumer started to play. I took a very deep breath and started walking to the stage. When the audience saw us they screamed even harder.

We all started singing like we had rehearsed.

Adam was on my left side and Ceelo on my right.

It was the turn for my solo moment.

I giggled through the mic and started singing...

"I saw him dancing there by the record machine...I knew he must a been about..huh! Seventeen"

I glanced at Adam...and winked at him and then...I actually pointed at him with my finger. Worst idea ever.

I continued singing...

"Can you take me home? Where we can be..."

I was going to go for the high note, when Adam lifted me up with his right arm.

I laughed and went for the note doing some runs.

"...ALONEE?!"

When he put me down, he didn't go back to his place, he just stayed very close to me until it was his solo.

He started singing and placed his eyes on mine. And he..started singing the song to me.

I was starting to get nervous as he was singing very close to my face and everybody was watching.

And then the song finished, and the crowd went nuts. I guess they liked it.

We headed backstage to our traillers cause we had to change clothes for the Blind Auditions.

Adam was following me to my trailer and I could feel him right behind me.

"That was pretty hot"

He said making me turn around.

"It's called getting into character...that's what singers do...if you didn't know"

I answered with a serious tone.

He laughed.

"Are you denying the amazing connection we had on stage?"

"Don't start please"

I walked into my trailler and shut the door on his face.

I sighed and closed my eyes, leaning on the door.

I hadn't realized that Simone was inside my trailler.

"Chris, is everything ok? You can't lie to me. I know you too well"

God she did know me perfectly well. But I wasn't ready to tell anyone yet the fact that I had cheated on my boyfriend. I had kissed Adam that day...that's cheating.

But I've known Simone for my entire life. I can't hide things from her. She's the only one who gets me. I need to tell her. I need to let this all out.

"I need to tell you something...but don't be mad"

I said staring at the floor.

She nodded.

"I sort of...uhm..kissed Adam"

I looked up and analized her face expression. Her eyes widened but she didn't express any feeling.

"Please help me"
I said.

"Chris...I think you should really talk to him..there's something going on between you two, cause trust me..I've never seen you like this in my entire life"

"You think? I don't know...what if he's just messing around with me?"

"I don't think so..I've seen the way he treats you. You guys have an amazing connection"

"That's exactly what he said"

I sighed.

"But..what about Matt?"

She asked.

"I know!! I love Matt, but Adam..he just drives me crazy. And not the bad kind of crazy.."

"I think you should talk to him right now, go!"

"Okay okay..I'll go"

I runned all the way to his trailler. I was ready to tell him everything that I have felt for him since the day he entered that elevator. I reached his trailler and didn't even bothered to knock on the door, I just opened it as fast as I could and my eyes widened when I entered the trailler.

He was in the couch with Behati..and they were having sex.

I closed the door immediately and runned back to my trailler with my heart almost in my mouth. I felt like I was going to throw up.

I closed the door of my trailler and covered my face with my hands.

"You talk that fast?!"

Simone said to me.

"Ugh!! I'm so stupid! I hate him! Oh nono I hope he didn't see me."

"What happened?!!"

She yelled.

"I opened his door and he was having sex with Behati! I can't even believe I was having feelings for that asshole. But oooh he will pay."

"What?!!! Oh god..I'm sure he will hun"

Simome caressed my shoulder.

"Don't worry about me, I'm perfectly fine. Now give me the sexiest dress you have. Let's just say that I'm going to play a little game..now let's see who is the one who can't resist the temptation"
