The morning sun rose over the Heeler household, casting a golden light on the front yard. The day promised a mix of new experiences for both the Heelers and their hellish guests. While Millie and Moxxie had an important errand to run, Blitzø found himself with an unexpected task.
Blitzø stretched and yawned, stepping into the living room where Moxxie and Millie were discussing their plan for the day. "So, you two are going car shopping, huh?"
"Yep," Millie confirmed with a smile. "We need something more reliable for getting around. Walking takes like 5 years!"
Moxxie nodded, looking determined. "We'll be back soon. Blitzø, you think you can handle the kids?"
"Speaking of the kids, can you drive them Blitzø?" Chilli asked.
Blitzø glanced over at Bluey and Bingo, who were getting ready for school. He smirked, trying to mask his uncertainty. "Sure, how hard can it be?"
Chilli handed him the car keys with a grateful smile. "Thank you, Blitzø. Just make sure they get to school on time. And, uh, watch your language."
Blitzø waved her off, grabbing the keys. "Yeah, yeah, I've got it under control."
With that, Moxxie and Millie headed out, leaving Blitzø with Bluey and Bingo. The kids were excited, seeing this as a new adventure.
"Ready to go, girls?" Blitzø asked, trying to sound confident.
"Yeah!" Bluey and Bingo cheered, their enthusiasm contagious.
Blitzø led them to the car, a modest vehicle that the Heeler family used for their daily commutes. He adjusted the seat and mirrors, trying to familiarize himself with the controls.
"Seatbelts on, everyone," Blitzø instructed, buckling himself in.
Bluey and Bingo followed suit, their eyes wide with excitement. "This is going to be fun!" Bluey exclaimed.
Blitzø started the car, the engine roaring to life. He pulled out of the driveway and began the drive to the school. The morning traffic was light, and Blitzø found himself relaxing a bit.
"So, what do you two usually do on the way to school?" Blitzø asked, trying to make conversation.
"We play I Spy!" Bingo suggested, her eyes bright with enthusiasm.
Blitzø grinned. "Alright, I'll start. I spy with my little eye, something... blue."
"Is it the sky?" Bluey guessed.
Blitzø chuckled. "Yep, you got it."
The rest of the drive was filled with laughter and guessing games. Blitzø found himself enjoying the simplicity of the moment, a welcome change from the chaos of being a hitman. As they approached the school, Bluey and Bingo pointed out familiar landmarks, guiding him to the drop-off point.
"Here we are," Blitzø announced, pulling up to the curb.
Bluey and Bingo unbuckled their seatbelts and grabbed their backpacks. "Thanks for the ride, Blitzø!" Bluey said, giving him a quick hug.
"Yeah, thanks!" Bingo echoed, following her sister out of the car.
Blitzø watched as they joined their friends, waving goodbye. He felt a surprising sense of satisfaction, knowing he had managed to get them to school safely.
Meanwhile, Moxxie and Millie were at the car dealership, examining various models. They were looking for something practical, reliable, and preferably something that didn't scream 'demon.'
"This one looks nice," Millie said, pointing to a sleek recent Cadillac.
Moxxie nodded, checking the specifications. "It's got good fuel efficiency and safety features. I think it's a good choice."
As they discussed their options with the salesperson, Moxxie couldn't help but think about how different their lives had become. They were used to dealing with dangerous assignments and otherworldly threats, but here they were, shopping for a car like any other couple.
After some negotiations and a test drive, they made their decision. They finalized the purchase and drove their new car back to the Heeler household, feeling a sense of accomplishment.
When they arrived home, Blitzø was already there, lounging on the couch with a smug look on his face. "How'd it go?"
"Great! We got a good deal," Millie said, beaming.
"How was the school run?" Moxxie asked, curious.
Blitzø shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Piece of cake. The kids are at school, safe and sound."
Chilli and Bandit entered the room, looking relieved. "Thank you, Blitzø. We really appreciate your help," Chilli said, giving him a grateful smile.
Blitzø waved her off. "No problem. It was kind of fun, actually."
As the day went on, the group settled into their new routines. Blitzø, Moxxie, and Millie found themselves growing more attached to the Heeler family, finding unexpected joy in the mundane tasks of daily life. And for once, they felt like they were part of something bigger, something that gave them a sense of belonging and purpose.
