"I need you to listen, please."
"Why should I listen to anything you say! You tortured us! You've killed so many women and for what!?" I growled, officially losing my patience with this stuck up asshole. I mean seriously, who conjures someone to their dream to play nice and ask to meet up? Especially after everything he's done!
"I didn't do that! Tori, listen! You and Destinee are in danger! I know you don't believe me but I'm not Jax! You've seen it yoursel-"
"Yeah and Noah was locked up and beaten in your creepy basement, dude! There is no way he could do this, even if he had a special ability because of how bad of shape he's in! Don't lie to me!" I growled, looking around me for an exit. There wasn't one. The field around us was beautiful. There were bright vibrant orange, blue, and white flowers that danced in the wind alone with the fields of grain around us. There was a woodline not far but I'm not even sure if I can get out of here since it's a dream.
"It is me though. Just listen-"
Tori, baby, it's time to wake up. You're scaring everyone.
Jay's voice was like a far-off echo that came from the sky, making my heart squeeze with guilt. I would if I could, I just don't know how.
"Listen, you don't have much time. Meet me at 3pm tomorrow in the neutral land. Not many will be there but there is something to hide your identity. I'll meet you at the candy store, okay?"
"How many times do I have to tell you!?" The world around us began to shake and the trees in the woods began to fall. The air was cold and the sun was starting to grow dark. Why so spooky for a dream? When I looked at the flowers to calm my mind, all I found were shriveling pedals and all the grain seemed to have been burned.
"Just do it! Do it for Destinee and Jay!"
When I opened my eyes, I didn't know what to expect. However, I certainly wasn't expecting a face super close to mine. Without a second thought, I threw a right hook out and knocked the person away from me. Sitting up brought a new wave of nauseousness and that's when I realized exactly where I was. I'm not in the field... I'm in our house. On the couch.
"What was that for?" Jay mumbled from the floor, glaring up at me with a hand over his now bloody nose. I stared at him blankly, making a quick survey around the room. Jake, Luke, and Lane were all by the recliner staring at me with wide eyes and Destinee was cackling like a hyena by the fireplace. Why is he on the floor?
"What?" Is he crazy?
"Why'd you have to punch me? That actually hurt." He grumbled, standing up while using his shirt to stop the bleeding. That was who I punched? I was on my feet in front of him trying to look at his nose within a second while trying not to laugh.
"I'm so sorry." I whispered while trying not to laugh. The look in his eyes and the way he stepped away told me he knew I was three seconds from laughing hysterically.
