The next morning, I woke up sore as all got out but very comfy. The bed smelled purely of Jay's cologne and although his spot was cold, and it seemed he hadn't been in bed for hours; it's knowing that he sprayed his cologne on the bed for me made me smile and a warmth spread through my chest, so I cuddled more into the blankets. The sun's out and soon Destinee will be over, probably barging into the room and dragging me out of bed as she did most mornings. I don't want her dragging me out of bed... And I really have to pee. Coffee sounds good too.
With a sigh, I finished weighing my options before removing the blankets and slowly making my way out of bed. I grabbed Jay's hoodie, wincing slightly at the tightness in my legs, back, and stomach. Throwing it on, I walked into the kitchen, wearing Jay's sweats as well. What am I going to wear as a disguise today? I probably need to ask the boys. It's not like anyone from any other packs aside from Fertile Moon and Blue Moon pack would notice who any of us are. Aside from Noah or Jax... If they show, they'll be found out quickly. Up until Jay found us, Destinee and I didn't even exist in the outside world and the boys weren't caught up in the dangers of the supernatural yet.
"Long night?" Luke asked, walking in with a knowing grin. When I turned, he was in a nice red and black tux with sunglasses on. Shocking me, I took a step back and winced, sighing at my stupidity for allowing this to happen before the mission.
"We didn't..." I started, afraid to finish my question.
"Oh, you did. Until 3 in the morning when y'all finally hopped in the bath. No wonder you need coffee, scoot over." Luke was laughing as he booty bumped me out of the way, gentle enough not to hurt me or make anything worse. This was a new side of him I haven't seen yet and to say I like it is an understatement.
"If we kept you up so late, why are you in such a good mood?" I laughed, booty bumping him back. He's like the brother I never had. That's a lie. I probably do have siblings; I just don't know them because they're probably dead. When the coffee was done brewing, Luke grabbed two cups, one for him and one for me. Thankfully, he grabbed mine, so I didn't have to reach for the top shelves. After making my creamer with a little coffee, I went to the living room and sat down taking a sip of the warm coffee that soothed the aches from last night.
"To answer your question, I have a date." He answered, walking in and sitting in Jay's recliner. If Jay was here, he would die. A date? With whom?
"To whom has the pleasure of such a noble gentleman taking them on a date?" I asked, faking a royal voice while trying not to laugh.
"Revenge and Death. They're twins." My smile dropped, looking at him with worry. What is he talking about?
"You're not going to die. Who wants revenge?" I asked, my good mood slipping away. His smile grew wider while he shook his head.
"No. It's an event in the neutral zone. Revenge and Death is a restaurant out there by the candy shop that is doing a charity event to get money to fix the neutral zone. So, get your best dress and jewelry because we'll be dressing like royals today. The event starts at one and that gives us time if we attend to get in position to back you all up. However, Jay's in charge of watching the neutral town today... So, we are going to need a really good disguise. Luckily, it's masquerade themed." I stared at Luke with confused but calculating eyes. I don't know how he knows all of this, but this is really thought through and honestly better than what we came up with yesterday.
"Okay. Well Destinee and I will need to go shopping then... Do the other boys have tuxes?" At my question, Lukes's face lit up once more.
"You're good to come out!" Luke hollered and sure enough, Lane and Jake both came out. Lane wore a blue and black tuxedo with a blue and black hockey mask while Jake wore a green and black tux with a green and black wolf mask. Luke then pulled out his own mask, a red and black fox mask. I smiled, amazed at the outfits and masks. Where did they even get these?
"Where?" I asked, almost speechless.
