It had been a couple of days since Jay and I went shopping with Oakley. We took his truck and I held her the whole time as to keep her safe since we didn't have a booster seat. We got small things for her room like paint, paintbrushes, some new toys, colorings books, color pencils, some outfits and clothes for Oakley, and finally a gaint teddy bear with a blue hoodie and Jason Vorhees mask. When I asked why she wanted that mask in particular at build a bear, she turned with a big smile saying she used to watch him. I don't know who 'him' is but by the look on Jay's face, I would say it's not good. His words still ring through my head that day.

"You're too young to be watching things like that."

I couldn't help but laugh softly at them before Oakley looked to another teddy bear, smiling like a maniac. This teddy bear was a red furred bear with a missing eye. She quickly snatched it and when I looked to Jay, I could see him looking at her with a confused look. She grabbed a camo hoodie and cargo pants making me laugh this time. What a creative mindset. The blue hoodie bear has a fluffy baseball bat while the red bear has fluffy knuckles connected to the teddy arm.

I remember asking her where she got these ideas and all she said was, "My parents and I used to watch them. They didn't want me to so they'd wait til I was asleep but I faked it so I could watch."

At least now I know to actually check if she's sleeping. Right now, I'm waiting at the door like a psycho. Her new bed, dresser, toy bin, some more hangers, a few more clothes, and some hair supplies are coming in today. The past few days, I've been working on painting her room and Oakley loves it. We listen to music, dance around, and paint the walls. When I finished the basic light tan walls, I asked her to choose an animal and a superpower. This cutie chose a raccoon and water. I frowned slightly wondering if this was because of the house fire she was part of but shook it off and smiled for her.

So I outlined a raccoon on her closet door, painted it, and put this clear substance on it to keep the paints from smudging together. Then I made little bubbles of water all over the tan wall leading to the wall where her toy bin will sit. On this wall there is going to be a small lake with little critters surrounding it, as well as a waterfall flowing into the lake in the background. Overall, she loved her walls.

Right now, she's sitting on the couch playing with her two teddies while watching a youtube video. I don't like her watching tv as much as she does but I need to get her stuff set up before Jay gets home. He's been so busy and stressed out lately that he gets home super late. When he gets home, all he does is eat dinner, shower, and then go to bed. I give him back scratches every now and then for his comfort but not as often as he wants, as he still asks every night for them. He's been stressing over the whole me possibly dying gig and his pack issues on top of all the paperwork and cases that he has to get done.

I sigh, looking at the grass outside while thinking of him. I wish I could help him... Maybe I'll have him or Loman teach me about these things and me and Oakley can go up for a few hours to help. I'm sure the other kids of the pack would love to play with Oakley.

Finally, the Amazon truck shows up, making me jump with excitement. It's finally here!!!! I ran down the hall, knocking quickly on all the boys' rooms.

"Come on, it's here!" I exclaim, laughing while running to the door. I don't know why I'm so excited but my excitement has Oakley giggling and the boys rolling their eyes. I don't need their help putting it together, I can do that with Oakley but I can't carry all of it. Especially the bed. I got her a bed that has the drawers at the bottom and a little door. Under her bed is enough room for even Jay and I to sit down without hitting our head. We bought lights and padding for there too so it can be her little hideout. The bed has four corner posts that run up to hang a small light blue curtain over and down the sides of it. It kinda looked like a princess castle in the pictures so I hope she likes it.
