The End

It's been two days now and she still hasn't said a word. Everytime I hold her, she clutches to my chest and just stares at me. It's like something in her broke and I'm afraid I may never be able to fix it. When I walk past her, it's like I'm a ghost that she keeps gawking at. When I hold her at night, she lays her head above my chest where my heart is. When I say that I love her, she only looks at me before tapping me three times. Even when Oakley's around, she doesn't speak.

I remember bringing her home and taking a shower with her so she would be clean when she saw Oakley. I remember assessing her body for wounds and scrubbing the blood off. She stood their and just stared blankly at the wall but if I moved away, she'd grab my hand keeping me near her. Even right now when she's watching Oakley play with the teddy bears, she says nothing and I can't tell what she's thinking. I called mom earlier to get her over here to assess her mental health. I don't know what Jax did and when I ask, he says that he didn't get a chance to do any real damage. We've kept Jax alive simply for the fact that Tori won't tell us what happened so we have to get it out of him.

Destinee, Harper, Lomen, Dre, Colby, and even Gifford all tried to get her to talk but she wouldn't. It's like she's just a shell right now. I miss her smile... I miss her mood swings and I miss her voice. God, I miss her voice.

"Baby?" I whisper softly and she turns to look at me but still doesn't say a word.

"I love you." And just like that, she gently taps my arm three times. I heard a knock at the door and got up to go get it but immediately stopped when I felt a hand holding my arm. I turned to see an actual emotion in her eyes. It was fear. I tilted my head, feeling my heart break.

"Do you want to come with me? It's just mom, my love." I whisper, gently moving a strand of her hair behind her ear and out of her eyes. She hesitated before nodding and standing to come with. She paused though before looking at Oakley. When Oakley looked up, Tori held her hand out for her. She's been protective of us ever since she got home. She won't let either of us out of her sight. I've had to stay home from work and use my computer to complete all of it and Lomen, Gifford, and Colby deal with Jax to try and get answers.

We all walked downstairs and I opened the door, giving mom a hug. Mom smiled brightly and said her usual 'good afternoon' greeting. I turned to Tori to see if she'd answer back like usual but Tori only looked down. Mom's smile fell a little before she walked to her.

"Do you care if I hug you?" Tori shook her head no and opened her arms and immediately mom stepped in, hugging her close. I saw Tori's eyes tear up before she laid her head on moms shoulder.

When mom pulled back, she turned to Oakley with a big smile. Oakley squealed before jumping in her arms.

"Gigi!!! Mommy's back!" Oakley started laughing as mom placed kisses all over her face. I smiled and took Tori's home while we watched them.

"I know it!" Mom said, just as excited with Oakley. She loves all her grandbabies.

"Gigi has to talk with mommy so why don't you go play?" Gigi smiled, setting Oakley down. Oakley gave a quick okay before running to the living room. Tori looked at me with confused eyes before looking back to mom.

"I have to assess your mental health... Since you've been back, I've heard you haven't said a thing." Mom explained softly, giving her a stern but gentle look. Tori looked to the wall and started tapping her fingers against her thumb. She's nervous. She took a few moments before nodding. So mom stepped up to her and placed her hand on her arm. Mom smiled softly before she closed her eyes.

I watched both of their reactions before my eyes caught in Tori's eyes. She looked pained. She offered up a small smile which made me smile. This is progress! Mom stepped back and looked at Tori with a sad smile before looking at me.
