Third Person POV

Slowly opening her eyes, Alex was blinded by the sunlight. Groaning and cover her eyes with her arm, there was a small gasp.

Moving her arm just a little to peak her eye out, Alex noticed that she wasn't in the giant room with the dead tree in the middle and Mr. Psycho grinning in front of her after stabbing her in the gut.

She was back in a very clean and bright room, laying in the middle of a bed with her mates surrounded her, asleep.

Star was the one to awake after hearing a tiny groan. She yawned, rubbing her eyes to get rid of the sleep as she lifted her head up from the bed. Looking over, she noticed that Alex had finally come to from her slumber.

"You're awake!" The sleep all gone, the dragon staggered up onto her feet and rushed over to the side of Alex, being at the end of the bed.

The other queens who were still asleep, awake after hearing their dragon mate and quickly spotted that their little mate was wide awake.

Instantly getting up, the others four queens were at Alex's side while Star was already holding her hand and gently rubbing Alex's head.

"What going on? How did I get here?" Alex weakly asked confused, wondering why her mates were so happy to see her and how she got there.

"We rescued you from the man that kidnapped you." Jane started, making Alex focus on her. "But before we got to you that..." She hissed angrily. "bastard stabbed and nearly killed you. Thankfully, you were saved."

Nodding her head at the information, Alex suddenly closed her eyes and groaned in pain when feeling an agonizing pain coming from her stomach which made her mates panic.

They asked questions like if she was alright, where the pain was coming from, should they bring a healer, etc."I'm okay. You don't have to do all that." Alex smiled, waving a dismissing hand.

The five royals looked at each other before hesitating let it go, a couple taking a seat on the bed. Not saying a word as they stared at their little mate, whose eyes widened when realizing something.

Alex shot up from the bed, terrifying her mates. "Mom! Where's my mom?" She asked, looking at her mates who were still recovering from her sudden outburst.

"She's-" Taylor was interrupted by the chamber doors open and a tall silver hair woman, looking much better than the last time Alex saw her, strolled in.

Visibly relaxing at the sight of her little flower up. "You finally woke up." Asha smiled, turned to look at the five queens. "Leave us, please."

Alex watched curious as her mates stood up without protest, kissed her on the forehead, saying their goodbyes, before walking past the older woman and closed the door behind them.

Sighing, Asha walked over to Alex and took a seat. The two of them stayed in awkward silence until Alex decided to start the conversation. "What happened? Back in that giant room with the dead tree? I don't remember what happened after I got stabbed."

Asha flinched at the word "stabbed". She shifted uncomfortably in her seat for a moment before answering. "Your powers awaken." Alex's brows furrowed. "Powers? What are you talking about."

"You still don't know?" Alex said nothing, staring at her mother stumped which made Asha start explaining. "You are the child of the gods that mankind fear. Their champion that will bring the paranormal being together during this dire time in need with populations low and man getting close in discovering our existence."

Silently staring at her mother for a moment, Alex bursted out laughing. Holding her stomach when it began to hurt with tears in her eyes.

When her laughing began to die down, she noticed that Asha wasn't laughing and looked serious. "You're not kidding...are you?"

Asha shook her head, "No. I am being very serious."

Alex sat there in shock, her entire world was flipped upside down once again. Her, a champion for the gods? There was no way.

Another thought hit the small female. "Then if the gods made me...are you even my mom then." Asha looked heartbroken upon hearing that. "Of course I am your mother. I gave birth to you."

"Then what about Mr. Psycho? He said you were his sister. That I took his throne." Alex argued, feeling overwhelmed but slightly angry at the same time by everything.

Asha looked hesitant, but slowly spoke. "James was the first one to be created, but as time went on, the gods noticed that he was corrupted and greedy. He didn't care about protecting, he wanted to rule. That's when I was created."

"If you were supposed to protect the supernatural, why was I born?" Asha sighed, grabbing a strand of her hair and pushing it out of her face. "They thought that I was too soft hearted, that I didn't have what it takes to protect everyone when the time came.

And because they had no more energy to make a whole new champion, they took the slow way and I had you. And I have never regretted it."

Alex stayed quiet for a minute, taking in all these new information. "So, the moon goddess mated me to my mates because..."

"So it could be more easier to bring the species together. And it wasn't just her, it was a few other gods that allowed the mating bond to happen."

Looking away from the woman beside her, Alex gaze down at her hands. Mind racing. Nervousness eating her up.

Hearing the door creak opened, Alex snapped out of her thoughts and turned her head to see Taylor peaking her head inside the room. Asha looked and sighed. "You guys may come back in."

The door slam opened and the queens reentered the room, immediately at Alex's side and asking if she needed anything or if she was still in pain.

They quieted down when Asha stood up from her seat and leaned forward, giving Alex's a small peak on the forehead before moving away from her and going over to the door.

Blushing by the kiss, Alex gripped the blanket with one hand. Speaking out which made Asha stop in her tracks and look back at her. "It's nice to see you again, mom. I really missed you."

Asha smiled. "Me as well, my little flower. Can't wait to see what you will do next."

The End

Author: Took me four years (I think) but I'm finally done with this story! No more re-writing it. No more going through hell. I'm free! I'm never touching this story again. (I wanna be done with this so I kind of rushed, sorry about that).

Anyways, there's a new story out about a single mother moving to a new city that's run by a pack of werewolves where one said werewolf is mated to her. But this may be a challenge since the human mother just ran away from her abusive ex.
