Next to the campfire, the 2 adults began to discuss the situation and how to procced.

Adam: So...what exactly is you plan to deal with the Cronics? "Transform and kill them all"?

Alex: No, well, not until our primary objective is complete, finding any survivors, and locating our missing team of students.

Adam: A team of students was sent here, alone?

The faunus turned to the professor, who put his hands up in defense.

Alex: We had no intel of the cult being there, fact is, we didn't know this cult existed.

Adam: And the guardians?

Alex: A startle for them as well.

Adam sighed as he looked at the recently extinguished firepit, uneasy.

Adam: How long has you team been missing?

Alex: We dispatched them around a week and a half ago, 4 days ago was the last time they reported in. Once they missed their scheduled check in, alarms were raised.

Adam: Pfft, then your presence here is a waste of time, no doubt your team and any survivors taken are now dead.

Adam slowly got up and walked to his weapons.

Alex: What makes you say that? 

Adam: The Cronics don't take prisoners, anyone they take automatically has a timer.

Alex: Then why bother taking the survivors?

Adam stopped

Adam turned to face Alex, who looked away to think, a few seconds later, Alex looked back, eyes widened in horror.

Alex: For amusement?

Adam: Amusement, pleasure, anything

Alex: *Thought* Just like what happened to Emily...her village

Alex silently thought before Adam started to talk again.

Adam: So don't expect no happy ending to this mission.

Adam reached his weapons and picked them up. Alex got up and retrieved his weapons as well.

Alex: I guess I can say the same for you.

Adam turned his head.

Alex: Once this is over, you're coming with us.

Adam: And if I refuse?

Alex: There won't be an option to

Y/n: Were actually going to work together?

Alex: That is the plan yes

Y/n rubbed his head and sighed.

Y/n: I still don't trust his word

Alex: Neither do I, but this is the only sure way we can successfully find CFVY, despite his background, he's a powerful ally to have.

Y/n: Right...an ally

Y/n sighed as he got his equipment ready, but after a few seconds, he looked to Alex again.

Y/n: What about the children? What are we going to do?

Alex: *Sigh* We can't exactly do anything with them, taking them would be incredibly foolish, not to mention endangering all of our lives. We can't leave one of us here to watch them either, we lose an entire Autobot.
