A WEEK HAD PAST, LIFE IN A WORK CAMP WAS NOT
exactly favorable to Marilyn. However, she had been reunited with Buck and Crank. Buck had taken it upon himself to look out for Marilyn, especially since she was a woman in a Nazi POW camp.

Her face carried fresh scars, her body covered in bruises as she learned right and wrong in the camp. She began to feel hopeless, she yearned for Bucky's presence and it seemed that Buck noticed. While he tried to be supportive for the girl, neither of them have been through a situation like this before.

They didn't know what would happen or what would come next. All Marilyn knew was to never let her guard down. She slept with one eye open, never having a good nights rest since her capture. Barbed wire was what fenced the prisoners in, making them feel like dogs rather than humans.

Her limbs ached as they begged for rest, each step weaker than the previous. The winter was beginning, she knew if she didn't get enough food she wouldn't make it through. It was the survival of the fittest in the camp and she was determined to survive. She wouldn't give up until she was back on Allied soil.
