MARILYN LED BUCKY INTO THE ROOM WHERE
she and other soldiers had slept. She sat him down, immediately looking at his injuries. Buck, who followed close behind, walked into the room as well; taking a seat next to Bucky. "When did you get here?" John asked Marilyn, wincing as she tried her best to clean the cut."A week ago." She softly spoke, taking a ripped piece of cloth to clear the dried blood. "You look after her?" Bucky now asked Gale, earning a scoff from Marilyn. "I figured you would cause another war if I didn't." The men shared a much needed laugh, one that brought a smile to Marilyn's face.
As she finished with his eye, John stood up. He leaned down to press a kiss to her lips, he had been waiting to do that since he saw her. She smiled at him as he looked into her eyes lovingly. She was the first to break eye contact, turning to busy herself with cleaning up.
"You're right about that, Buck." Egan began, sitting on a bed as he talked with his friend. "I would have started a war if anyone laid their hands on her." His words made Buck smile, seeing his friend in love was oddly comforting. He knew Bucky now had a person who knew the old him.
