AT 2300 HOURS, JUST THIRTY MINUTES AFTER
the soldiers were made aware of the fact they were marching, the Stalag was up in flames. Wearing the thickest clothes she had, Madilyn shivered. Her hands tucked into her pockets, her bag on her back as she prepared for a long walk. Bucky, who was partnering with Gale, appeared at her side. His beanie covered in snow as he reached to brush it off.

He quickly glanced at Marilyn, checking to see if she was ok before he moved onto the others. Besides her shivering frame, he determined that she was ok. He moved on swiftly, trying to go as fast as he could before they left. "How you doing?" Buck asked Marilyn, making small talk to pass the time as they waited anxiously. "Would have preferred it if the Russians made it here first." She huffed, looking to her right to find Bucky once again.

"You're not thinking of running, are you?" Buck asked his friend. "Not in this icebox." He responded, sighing afterwards. "Hambone, I wouldn't do that if I were you." Marilyn warned, wrapping her arms around herself as she attempted to warm herself up. "Who knows when we're gonna get this kind of food again, you know?" He retorted, making Marilyn shake her head.
