Nausea, headache, and heart palpitations: Sensei woke from his usual nightmares, immediately beset by these symptoms. Clutching his head to stave off the urge to cry out in pain, he sluggishly rolled out of bed, collapsing to his knees upon reaching the floor.
For the first time since reaching adulthood, Sensei felt the crushing weight of his own body. His mouth and eyes were parched. As he struggled to stand, his legs wobbled beneath him. Then, his stomach roiled, demanding he expel the vile contents within.
" These dreams... again..."
Sensei, an adult burdened with many responsibilities, awoke from yet another prophetic dream. Feeling his motivation evaporate, he couldn't bring himself to lift a finger, let alone prepare for his daily agendas at SCHALE.
At that moment, all Sensei wanted was to escape, to shirk his duties, if only for a single day.
As he entertained this thought, an image of a student flashed in his mind. The one student he most wanted to see during this time.
Only her, and nobody else.
" Iroha... I want to see her."
Sensei reached for his Shittim Chest to message Iroha about his arrival. Just as he was about to find her contact, a sudden message interrupted him.
It was a message from Takanashi Hoshino. Sensei had long waited to patch things up with her, but it seemed Hoshino had taken the initiative instead. This realization left Sensei more disappointed in himself for allowing her to bear this burden alone for so long.
" If it's possible, I'd like to meet Sensei today at SCHALE. I want it to be just the two of us, so I'll come to SCHALE late at night."
" Alright. I'll be expecting you, Hoshino."
It was clear to Sensei that Hoshino wanted to discuss the incident from a few days ago, though what she hoped to change remained uncertain to the teacher. Despite this, Sensei was relieved at the prospect of seeing Hoshino again, as he had much to say that he couldn't express during the incident.
Beyond his urge to apologize for hurting her, Sensei longed to embrace Hoshino, just as he had embraced Hina the day before. He knew these embraces wouldn't fix everything, but seeking courage and reassurance in holding his student was what he needed to keep moving forward.
In the end, Sensei pledged to himself to make all his students happy...
Before it was all too late.
Several hours later...
Far from any distractions and troubles, there was a place known only to Sensei and one particular student. They considered the small but comfortable room their secret hideout, a sanctuary where they could slack off and escape their responsibilities to relax together. It was the heaven Sensei and Iroha shared.
This was the place where their relationship as student and teacher had evolved into something more than just that.
" These footsteps... Is that you, Sensei?" the voice from the room called out, the voice Sensei was all too familiar with.
As he opened the door to paradise, a wave of warmth enveloped him, caressing his skin like a gentle embrace. Inside, bathed in the golden glow of the sun, was the girl he had been yearning to see. She sat serenely in the corner of the room, absorbed in her book. The moment she saw Sensei step inside, her longing expression blossomed into a welcoming smile.
"It's good to see you, Iroha," said Sensei, returning her smile with one of his own.
" Sensei... I've been waiting." Iroha seemingly closed her eyes as her entire body relaxed in comfort after hearing Sensei's voice.
