I am Rasha Aurora Valentin, 28 years old at nag-iisa na lang sa buhay.

I am a secret agent of the top intelligence agency in the country, working with the government with the aim of taking care of matters that are too big to handle by the country's intelligence service.

Tanda ko pa ang mga pangyayari bago nagbago ang lahat. Bago ako napunta sa isang sitwasyon na talagang napaka-imposible.

That day, I decided to resign from work, from being an agent.

I vividly remember what I did as I finally decided to quit.

Dahan dahan kong inilapag ang papel na noong isang linggo ko pa dala-dala pero ngayon lang naipasa sapagkat talagang pinag-isipan ko pang mabuti kung talaga bang ito ang nais ko.

Tiningnan iyon ng Director-General, na head ng intelligence service na kinabibilangan ko, at saka napabuntong-hininga bago mag-angat ng tingin sa akin.

"Agent Rory, are you really resigning? Hindi na ba talaga kita mapipigilan?" May halong lungkot na tanong niya.

"You know that you're one of our best agent and losing you will leave us a very big hole," dagdag pa nito.

Huminga muna ako nang malalim saka sinagot ang Director-General.

"Yes, General. I really thought about this deeply before arriving to this decision," maagap kong sagot at iyon ang katotohanan.

Ilang linggo ko itong pinag-isipan nang mabuti at talagang wala akong makitang pagsisisi sa gagawin kong ito.

Kaya naman naisipan kong hindi pa huli ang lahat para naman i-enjoy ang buhay. I'm still 28 at mahaba pa ang oras ko para i-enjoy ang mga hindi ko na enjoy noon.

"All my life, all I did was to study, build my credentials, earn money, and fulfill my mission. I think it is safe to say that I have contributed enough to the society that we have today. Now, I just want to experience the things that I have not experienced before, General. I want to try and live the life that most of the normal people experience. I hope you understand, Sir," kalmado kong sabi sa kanya.

He sighed. "I guess there's nothing that can change your mind. It is of great sadness that we are losing a talented and smart agent like you, Agent Rory. But it will be selfish of me to go against your wishes to live a normal life while you're young. I fully understand your reasons so I'm accepting this resignation letter."

"Thank you, sir," sabi ko saka siya nginitian.

"You're not leaving today, are you?" nag-aalala niyang tanong.

"No, sir. I still have one last mission tonight and after that, I will leave first thing in the morning," tugon ko na siya namang ikinabuntong-hininga niya.
