Napaiyak ako nang mapagtanto na wala na kaming matatakasan. We are surrounded by these killers sent by our enemies to end our lives.

Binalingan ko si Maverick na nasa aking kandungan.

"M-mav, please don't leave me. I love you so much," umiiyak kong sambit habang hinahaplos ang kanyang mukha na puro ng pasa.

"M-my Kinara, please don't cry. It hurts me seeing you cry," nanghihinang saad ni Maverick sa akin.

Napahikbi ako. I am so useless. We won't be in this situation right now have I been strong. I realized that I am everybody's weakness. Maverick won't be like this if it wasn't for me.

Is this my end? Is this our end?

Malakas kong isinara ang nobelang binabasa saka huminga nang malalim para pakalmahin ang sarili.

What the fuck is wrong with this novel? Seriously? This is the lamest novel I have ever read in my entire bookish existence.

I thought the main lead is strong? Why did he end up like that unable to protect the female lead.

Also, why the heck did the author made this girl the female lead when she can't even protect herself? Pabigat lang sa estorya. Walang ibang ginawa kundi magpabebe at umiyak nang umiyak.

Nakakainis! Gustong-gusto ko ng wag tapusin pa ang nobelang ito pero nakakagalit isipin ma pag hindi ko ito tinapos ay sayang ang oras na inilaan ko dito para basahin eh nakakalahati na pa naman ako sa kwento.

Padabog akong tumayo saka inilagay na sa bag ko ang aklat kasama ang mga gamit ma gagamitin ko mamaya sa aking huling misyon bilang si Agent Rory.

Tiningnan ko ang aking palapulsuhan—11:45, iyon ang nasa smartwatch na nasa kaliwang kamay ko.

Fifteen minutes mago bagsimula ang operasyon namin.

I tapped my earpiece.

"Team Alpha, this is Agent Rory. Status check."

"Alpha One in position," came the voice of Martinez, stationed at the north perimeter.

"Alpha Two, at your service dito sa south entrance," masayang turan naman ni Jenkins.

"Alpha Three, covering the west exit," maikling sabi ni Patel.

"Alpha Four on the east side, ready na din boss" sabi naman ni Reyes, ang hacker namin.

"Copy that," wika ko sa malamig na tono. "I'm en route to the rendezvous point. ETA ten minutes. Remember, this is our last run together, so let's make it count. Martinez, any movement on your end?"

"Negative, Rory. All quiet," saad ni Martinez

"Good. Jenkins, any sign of our target?"

"Not yet. I've got a clear view of the south entrance. No unusual activity," report naman ni Jenkins.

"Reyes, keep monitoring the surveillance cameras. If anything changes, report to me immediately."

"Roger that, Rory. I've tapped into their security system. We're good to go".

"Patel, how's your end looking?" tanong ko habang chini-check ang mga baril na gagamitin.

"All clear, Rory. No signs of any unexpected visitors," tugon naman ni Patel.

"Excellent. Remember, our priority is to get the briefcase. Stay sharp," paalala ko sa kanila.

Lumabas ako sa sasakyan dala ang mga armas at saka dahan-dahang naglakad patungo sa warehouse kung saan gaganapin ang transakyon ng mga sindikato.
