Her brother's smile grew wider, his eyes gleaming with an otherworldly energy. "I mean that I'm no longer your brother, Eira. I'm a servant of the Shadow Realm, and you....you are the key to unlocking its secrets".
With that, he reached out and grasped her hand, his grip cold and unyielding. Eira felt a surge of fear and magic flow through her, and she knew she had to act fast to escape her brother's clutches.
Her brother's actions surprised her so much that she acted on her instincts and blasted him through the power that was coursing through her veins. When she looked up, she could register the vivid shock on her brother's face before he knocked her off her feet.
As she fell backward, Eira's head hit the stone floor with a loud thud, and her vision blurred. She struggled to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through her head, making her wince. When she finally managed to open her eyes, she saw her brother or should she say former brother standing over her, his face twisted in a snarl.
"You foolish girl", he spat. " You think you can defeat me? I have the power of the Shadow Realm coursing through my veins!"
He raised his hand, and Eira felt a dark energy wash over her, threatening to consume her. But she refused to give up. Summoning all her strength and magic, she unleashed a fierce blast that sent her brother flying across the chamber.
And then she rose up and was consumed with fire. But the strange thing was that the fire did not burn her instead she could control it. She was so astonished and fascinated by this new power and did not realize when her brother was struggling to sit up. She was only brought out of her trance by her brother's strained cough.
