Her mother stepped forward, her voice filled with a mix of sadness and determination. "We were supposed to pass on our knowledge and powers to you, but....we were afraid. Afraid of what might happen if you inherited our abilities too soon."
Eira's mind raced with questions and emotions. "What do you mean 'too soon'?" And what's happening to me now?"
Her father hesitated before speaking. "Your powers are awakening, Eira. And with them comes a great responsibility. One that we are not sure you are ready for.
The room fell silent, with only the weight of their words hanging in the air. Eira's heart raced as she processed this revelation. She felt a mix of emotions: excitement, fear and a sense of purpose. She looked at her parents, her eyes searching for answers.
"What do you mean 'awakening'?" She asked. Her mother stepped forward, her eyes filled with a deep concern. "Your powers, Eira.....they are not just any powers. You have the ability to control the very elements themselves". Eira's heart reeled as she tried to comprehend the magnitude of her abilities. She thought back to the strange occurrences that has been happening around her...it all made sense now.
Eira took a deep breath and began to recount her dreams, the mysterious woman's words, and the symbol she saw at Mike's house. Her parents listened intently, their expressions serious with each passing moment.
When she finished, her father nodded gravely. "The symbol you saw is the Mark of the Elements. It's an ancient sign of the Elemental Guardians.
Her mother added, "And the woman in your dreams.....we think she might be a powerful Elemental spirit. One who's been guiding you from afar. Eira's mind raced with questions. "What does it all mean? And why me?
Her father placed a hand on her shoulder. "You are the chosen one, Eira. Destined to restore balance to the elements and save our world from destruction".
Eira felt a surge of determination. "I'm ready. Teach me how to control my powers. I want to learn".
Her parents exchanged a proud glance. "We will teach you everything we know", her mother said. "But first, we need to take you to the Elemental Temple. It's the only place where you can truly master your abilities.
