After Eira narrated her vision to Mike and Lyrien, they debated on it for a while and still couldn't arrive at a conclusion. So they decided to sleep on it and meet up another time. Lyrien got up to leave and said, "Eira, I know this is a lot to take in but I believe in you and I am here to help you awaken your powers".
Eira smiled at him and he was escorted out of the house. It was already late in the night so Mike gave Eira a ride home. The car ride was silent as they were both lost in their thoughts. Few minutes later, they arrived at her house and Mike followed her to her doorstep and said "I will be here to pick you up tomorrow morning. Let's go to school together huh?"
Eira smiled, feeling grateful for Mike's steady presence. "Yeah, that sounds great. Thanks Mike". She gazed at the starry sky, her mind still reeling from the vision and the prophecy. "Hey Mike?" She said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Hmm?" Mike replied, his eyes questioning. "Do you think Lyrien's right? Do you think I really have powers inside me?" Eira's eyes searched Mike's face, seeking reassurance.
Mike's expression turned thoughtful, and he nodded slowly. "I don't know, Eira, but I do know that you are special. And if anyone can help you figure this out, it's Lyrien. He's been studying this stuff for years".
Eira nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over her. "You are right. I need to learn more about my heritage and those powers. Maybe I can understand what's happening to me".
With that, Mike gave her a gentle smile and a nod. "We will face this together, Eira. Always". She gave him a quick peck on his lips and hugged him tight. "Bye Mike, see you tomorrow". "Bye Eira", he said and got into his car.
As Mike drove away, Eira felt a sense of gratitude for his unwavering support. She watched the car disappear into the night, then turned around to open the door. But as she reached for the handle, a sudden gust of wind swept past her, rustling her hair and whispering an eerie melody in her ear.
Eira spun around, but there was no one there. The wind died down as quickly as it started, leaving her with an unsettling feeling that she was being watched. She shivered and stepped inside, wondering if the strange occurrences would ever cease.
