Immortal Love

Chapter one

In a world where immortals an humans live side by side, rules an lines had to be drawn so immortals an humans could live peacefully amongst each other. Immortals had to learn how to control there abilities so they would cause no harm against humans, therefore the academy's were born. Each academy does there own thing the only rule was that the  teachers had to teach us to live amongst humans, and use their everyday lives in ours. Some is more sinister then ours. So tomorrow is my first day at griffin academy, and I have been waiting for this day my entire life, my parents learnt so much at griffin academy, there almost like normal people. I  start my day off with orientation, which is where I'm gonnna meet my professors and the student body. Wish me luck?

" Honey, wake up. Don't wanna be late on your first day!" Yelled my mother from the bottom of our staircase. I softly moan as I don't wanna get out of bed, and turn over facing my alarm clock that is still buzzing. I get up to get dressed and I realize I didn't decide on an outfit for the first day. So it's either black knee length dress with sleeves of course it's October, with my black platform heels , or skinny jeans with a white crop top with my blazers. Hmm I say standing back from my bed trying to decide on an outfit. It's my first day I think to myself I should go all out so, black dress it is. I get dressed and head downstairs to show my mother my first day outfit. " Honey you look amazing" my mother says almost crying as if it's my first day of kindergarten. " mom it's just a dress" I said looking at her as I clip my necklace together. "Okay I'm gonna be late, later love you" I say rushing to grab my bag and keys as I let myself out of my front door and into my car.

I arrive at griffin academy, and I start making my way towards those two huge front doors I've been waiting my entire life to be in front of these very doors. " take a picture it'll last longer Surfent girl" yells a tall dark haired green eye boy from across the way standing on the sidewalk. " I'm Jake, jake Scott's" he says as I approach him " how do you know my last name?" I asked with a concerned look on my face. He grinned " your parents are practically legendary here, for being the strongest of their kind in the history of immortals." " yes but they are just two werewolves, whom by the way are almost human in the ways they act." I say proudly smiling at him as he opens the door for me. " yeah" he groaned as if he didn't like response I gave. I give him a little grin as I make my way to principle franklins office to get my schedule as i slept through orientation this morning because I chose sleep over responsibilities. " see ya around surfent girl" he says as he walks past me looking back at me. I walk into principle franklins office. " ms. Surfent, nice of you to join us on this glorious morning. We missed you at orientation." He says taking his glasses off his face laying them down on his desk. " yes I know I slept through the morning" I say feeling a little embarrassed as  this is my very first day here. " well welcome to griffin academy ms. Surfent, your parents were extraordinary students of mine" he says handing me what I presume is my schedule. " thank you principle franklin" I say grabbing my schedule and leaving his office heading to my first class. Whew the expectations I gotta live up to and I've only Been here for all of 5 minutes.

First class is Geraldine Zane's class, oof okay. I walk into class a little late as the whole class turns to face me as the door behind me shuts so loudly. My whole body starts to feel red and I instantly feel the embarrassment coming into my face. "Nice of you to join us ms. Surfent" says Mrs.zane as she points my seat in the front. I swallow my pride an make my way to the front of the class and take my seat. I set my things down, and sit in my seat grabbing my laptop out of my bag as i look to the right of me is no other than, Jake, Jake Scott's to be precise, the handsome boy from earlier today who said my parents were legendary here Almost 20 years ago. " hey Surfent girl, nice of you to join the class you have no interest in being" he says as a grin appears across his face with those gorgeous eyes I could look into all day, jade your getting ahead of yourself now, your father wouldn't approve of this, i say to myself as I blush and continue to listen to Mrs. Zane's letcher .
**2 hours pass**
"Okay class, next week will be your first exam here at griffin academy to see what you know about your kind and what you need to learn" Mrs. Zane says " also reminder you need to choose a partner for Tomorrows class, please do so and write it on the clip board up front before leaving, class dismissed" she says gathering her papers and putting them into her bag.
" so what do you say Surfent?, be my partner?" Says Jake as he's grinning at me waiting for a response.

" uh um sure yeah yes" I say smiling and gathering my things getting up from my seat heading towards the door to leave the class room. As I make my way someone runs into my making me drop my books. " hey!" I yell as I'm getting frustrated with this no good person who obviously doesn't know how to follow the rules. I sigh as I reach down to grab my books from the floor, " asshole" I mumble to myself, when I hear " need some help?" Says a black haired, green eyed, 6ft tall boy who I didn't see in this class. " I got it thanks" I say grabbing my books and standing up. " if you insist" he says walking away " wait what's your name again? I don't recall seeing you in here for the class ?" I say catching up to him trying to get answers because i don't know who the hell this is but I wanna know. " Rowan carrington, I'm new here, just transferred schools, I missed the class because I wasn't aware I was coming here until 20 minutes ago." He says opening the door as I walk through he follows. "What academy did you transfer from, Rowan?" I asked slightly smiling being polite and trying to make small talk. " doesn't matter" he says as he's walking away to his next class I assume. " bye I guess" I say rolling my eyes as I make my way to my car, that was the only class I had for today. I'm exhausted and wanna go home. Been a long day.

" hey honey, how was your first day?" My mother asks as I walk into the kitchen while she's finishing up dinner.

" it was fine" I say with an exhausted tone in my voice sitting down at the island watching her finish up putting my hand on my chin and resting my head.

" that bad? I figured you would've loved it" she says smiling

" yes mom that bad, I was late, I missed orientation, was embarrassed walking into class because the door made a loud bang behind me in the middle of Mrs. Zane's letcher, and this asshole ran into me as I was leaving her class, so yes that bad maybe tomorrow will be better" I say with attitude in my voice looking at her sarcastically.

" jade, language please. And it'll get easier, once you get into the routine of college. It's so much different than high school sweetheart." She says walking around the island with a salad bowl in her hand placing her other hand on my head and kissing me of the top of my head.
" easy for you to say mom" I say looking at her like she doesn't know what she's talking about.

" it will" she says looking at me. " come eat dinners ready" she says motioning me over to the dinning room.

" I'm not hungry I think I'm just gonna go lay down for a nap" I say heading upstairs to my room to finally have peace and quiet.

I head to my room, making my way to my bed and face planting and dozing off to sleep.

I groan as I wake up, I roll over to my alarm clock and it says 3:44 am. I groan louder and go back to sleep.
