Chapter 20: Daughter

"So, tell me. What happened to you, lovely?"  Tanong ng babae habang tinutulungan si Shyenaugh mag-unbox ng mga pasalubong.

"Just a minor problem in school, Mimmy, but it was already solved with Diddies' help!"

"Oh, really? That's good to hear, lovely." She caressed Shyenaugh's hair as she took a glimpse on Declan's bare back. "What about your Diddy Dicky? What's he doing lately?" Pabulong na dagdag nito habang pilit na inilapit ang sarili sa bata dahil pasimple lang nakatingin mula sa kusina si Declan.

Her tacky eyes blaze as she waits for Shyenaugh to answer, her full attention fixed on Declan's menacing stares.

Sina Vaughn at Casimir naman ay nasa sala, busy sa walang katuturang bagay. They don't like the idea of having the woman around despite being fond of her in the past. They just find it so wrong to see her around.

"Uhm, he's just busy with work and me, Mimmy. We travelled to New York then went to Palawan! And also, we did scuba diving!"Shyenaugh exclaimed with glitters in her eyes.

Ngunit kaaagad nabago ang kaniyang emosyon nang dugtungan niya iyon. "I hope you were there but Diddy said you're busy." She even pouted with the thought that her favorite Mimmy was absent in those adventurous moments.

"Is that so? How about Diddy's interactions with other people?" The woman slightly lifted the side of her eye, trying to check on Declan's whatsoever, since ayaw niyang marinig ng binata ang mga tanong niya kay Shyenaugh. "Are they good?" She menacingly smiled at the kid as she added that question.

Sandaling natahimik si Shyenaugh habang pilit na iniisip ang tanong ng Mimmy niya.

"I guess, they're good naman since they were nice to Diddy, but the women are being so close to him." Kaagad nalukot ang mukha ng babae nang sabihin iyon ni Shyenaugh.

"You should not let women come closer to your diddy, Lovely. Want mo ba'ng agawin siya ng mga iyon?"

"But he's not responding to them naman. Diddy loves me and you, Mimmy." Sandaling natahimik ang babae at kaagad sumilay ang ngiti sa kaniyang labi nang marinig iyon mula sa bata.

"Yes, Lovely, you're right. Declan loves me...and you..." Before she bid her goodbye to the kid and walked towards Declan who is now in his normal emotionless aura.

Hindi mawala-wala ang ngiti ni Shyenaugh nang pumayag ang kaniyang Diddy Giddy na sumama sa kaniya sa mall.

Well, it's as if Gideon has the chance to decline to his naughty daughter. Paano ba naman kasi, she's already sitting in his car before she invited him to the mall. Tapos na ang batang mag-ayos at lahat. Approval na lang ni Gideon ang hinihintay nito.

"Diddy, I wanna go there!" Malakas na tili ni Shyenaugh nang makita ang isang store na puno ng art materials at mga libro.

Though she had plenty in her room, she still can't resist buying one whenever she sees a shop. May sarili na rin itong library para sa mga librong nabasa niya na at babasahin pa lang.

Isang mahinang pagtango lamang ang sinukli ni Gideon habang mahigpit na hinahawakan si Shyenaugh sa kanang kamay nito. He's wearing his usual black outfit with his dark aura. Wala ito sa hulog dahil katatapos lang ng trabaho nito at hindi sanay ang binata sa naturang lugar.

Kaagad silang natigil sa paglalakad dahilan upang nalilitong tinapunan ng tingin ni Shyenaugh si Gideon. He showed his phone kaya ay napatango na lamang ang bata dahil alam na nitong kung ano ang pahiwatig ng kaniyang Daddy.
