I almost want to send thank you letters to the brothers because their own possessiveness has made it almost too easy to get to Anastasia.

My plan was to let the dust settle for a couple of weeks but then there she was right in front of me. Practically handed over on a silver platter thanks to their need to keep her hidden and controlled.

She's clearly already questioning their actions and acting out against them so my part in all of this has only just been made easier.

As I get into the drivers seat next to her she shivers from the cold and her damp clothing so I turn the heat right up earning me a smile and a sigh of contentment.

"I'll take you to get something to change into then we can eat" I say genuinely being kind this time before she gets herself sick from trapsing around in wet clothes all day.

"You don't need to do that" she objects shaking her head.

"I'm not taking you anywhere looking like that" I scoff to make the mood lighthearted and it seems to do the trick.

"I guess I should get out of these damp clothes" she laughs agrees to let me take her to a store close by.

Deciding to give her the freedom she's so clearly grasping for I don't even attempt to climb out of the car when we get there, all I say is I'll wait for her and the surprise is evident. I've learnt the lesson the brother's have so clearly not yet. Anastasia wants freedom and to feel in control of her own life so that's exactly what I give her at the same time as I suck her back in to join my side.

When she gets back in the car looking ten times better in fresh clothes and a wide smile plastered across her face it doesn't take long for her eyes to drop down to the centre console where her engagement ring now sit thanks to Bogdan's quick movements.

Picking it up her smile falters and her eyes meet mine.

"Where did you get this?" she asks and I force my brows to pinch together in confusion.

"It was sent to me I thought you knew" I lie easily.

"No I didn't" she snaps. "They sent this to you?"

"Yeah" I say with a shrug feigning ignorance.

She sits and thinks for a moment before something changes in her expression.

"Do you know where Hugh's new office space is?" she asks.

"Yeah why?" I ask already knowing where this is probably going.

"Would you mind if we stop there first, there's something I need to do" she says with a air of determination in her and I know it's worked just as perfectly as I wanted it to.

"Sure" I say in agreement shifting the car into gear and pulling off.

When we pull up outside the offices she flashes me a quick smile and starts to climb out. "I won't be long are you sure you don't mind waiting?" she asks and I give her a nod pulling out my phone.

"It's all good there's some calls I need to make" I say not exactly lying.

I do have calls to make they just involve her which is the part I decide to leave out.

Watching her saunter into the office building I bring my phone to my ear already calling Bogdan's number, intent on putting the next parts of my plan into motion. Finding it impossible to keep the smirk off of my face.
