"She's going to love it" I say to my twin as I throw the last of the pillows down onto the makeshift bed we've made in the lounge.

I had wanted to take Stas out tonight, have a real date night like she wants but after how exhausted she's been all week me and Cian decided it was best to do something at home instead so we went with the option that we knew would definitely put a smile on her face.

A musical movie night has always been the easiest way to achieve that but this isn't just any normal movie night. The whole lounge is set up with more fluffy blankets and pillows than I've ever seen in my life.

We've set up a projector and new surround sound to make it like our cinema back home, we've even gone and put up fairy lights everywhere and that's just the start.

Cian got all the things she likes to eat like that stupid kids party food crap, all the sweets she likes and even a fucking trifle which is sure to be the cherry on the cake.

She's got facemasks, a new oodie, massage oils and even one of them ridiculously big water bottles with a tray on the top to put all her snacks in.

It's fucking perfect and I for one can't wait to see her face when she walks through that door.

Which should be any minute now.

We both wait patiently expecting she won't be too much longer but the more the time ticks by the more agitated I get waiting around and I can't help but think there's something wrong.

"I'm gonna call her" I say, already pulling my phone out of my pocket.

As usual Cian sits quietly and just nods his agreement, the only sign he's worried too is the way he drums his fingers against his knee.

As I go to dial her number we hear tires against the gravel outside and Cian is up straight away looking out the window. He lets out a sigh of relief and that tells me it's definitely her.

When she doesn't get out of her car and come in straight away I head over to the window to look out with him.

"What's she doing?" I ask as I peer through the blinds.

"She's just sitting there" he replies and yep there she is just sitting there in her car.

Her eyes are closed and her head's resting back against the headrest. Clearly she's had one hell of a day if the way she looks so defeated is anything to go by.

We definitely made the right choice about staying in this is without a doubt what she needs after the week she's had.

It takes a few more minutes of her sitting there before she finally gets out of the car. When she does, me and Cian step away from the window and stand aside like idiots waiting for her to come in and see everything we've done for her.

We hear the door open and then a few moments later she comes into the lounge freezing on the spot.

"Hey Beautiful" I say cheerfully expecting a smile to spread across her face but to my surprise it doesn't appear.

She looks around at everything and where we're expecting to see absolute delight appear there's just horror. She looks like she's just walked into her greatest nightmare, her eyes darting from me to Cian.

Then all of a sudden she bursts into tears clutching her hand over her mouth, and then she just runs away. Charging up the stairs as quick as she can, like she needs to get as far away from us as possible.
